Just for the record THATS MORE THAN NOAH.But yea.. Morey is the best and he will make it happen. Yawn. Knicks arent taking that shit contract and if they were they would have already. I think they waive him before they take Anderson. There would have to be some REALLY attractive assets coming back. Anderson could be a nice bench player. HE's not a bad player, he's just insanely overpriced. His walk year in Orlando he had a hell of a season. He never really reached that again. He's just too bad defensively to leave out there.
LIke a 14 game improvement? He was an ingredient. I make a cake, I leave out one thing the cake don't bake. "Flour tastes awful, its over rated, why is it so important?"
MDA came in. He has his own recipe. Melo would be a better version of what Anderson does. Be a perimeter player.Im not angling for Anderson btw, just that one player is not a team.
Wins is just a silly metric for star nerdsAnderson was def a MDA move and Morey giving MDA the pieces he craves ala a stretch 4. He put up 17-6 for the Pelicans the year before so they most likely bought into being a stretch 4 that can get buckets and be a threat.
The 14 wins was more Harden and Capella both bringing their games to another level. Of course the spacing that Gordan and Anderson contributed. And the 3&D of Beverly and Ariza all contributed to them being able to bring their games to another level. But I they could have replaced Gordan and Anderson with other 3 point shooters and probably have similar success.
Anderson had their best on/off #s and was a huge part of their improvement.
Then he should be more attractive to a team with a 3 year competitive window, which the Knicks won't have.
Like Portland, for example.

Obviously that option is not on the table. His age fits better than Melo's with our long-term plans. What alternative plan do you have? Again, I'll take Anderson but there has to be sweetener (draft picks and their Euro PG for starters).

His 2019-2020 salary does no fit with Knicks plans.
Alternative is do nothing.

I'm willing to agree to disagree on whether that alternative is better.
I also in the other thread had us getting Ariza who is a steal at $7 mil (and a big trade asset if we don't want to keep him).
