Has anyone looked at this guys stats, he's almost as bad as Bargiani if not worse. He's 6 10" and barely pulls down 4 rebounds and doesn't even average 1 assist per game, and he plays NO defense whatsoever.
There's a reason no team in the league will want this guy, he is grossly over paid, probably worse than NOAH, can't imagine have 2 guys on your roster like that, not to mention he's about to be 30 yrs old.
He is not even an OPTION at all
Everyone knows that which is why the Knicks ended trade talks with Houston. Knicks are being smart for a change

I mean I knew he was bad, but taking a hard look at his stats, he is completely garbage, who in their right mind thought he was worth 20 million..career 42% shooting.
I don't think there is anything you can attach to him to make anyone want him, maybe a top 3 pick, 2 of them.
but Darly Morey is so smart, right?
anrst wrote:but Darly Morey is so smart, right?
I know it was a typo and not a big deal at all...but can we PLEASE start calling him Darly from now on?
anrst wrote:but Darly Morey is so smart, right?
its funny... considered one of the great GMs and a mover and a shaker and he's the guy who gave Anderson 4/$80. Just for the record THATS MORE THAN NOAH.
But yea.. Morey is the best and he will make it happen. Yawn. Knicks arent taking that shit contract and if they were they would have already. I think they waive him before they take Anderson. There would have to be some REALLY attractive assets coming back. Anderson could be a nice bench player. HE's not a bad player, he's just insanely overpriced. His walk year in Orlando he had a hell of a season. He never really reached that again. He's just too bad defensively to leave out there.
The guy is Keith Van Horn light. Looked really good when he was on a cheap contract but $20 mil a year for that? Hell no. I'm glad to see we aren't taking back Glenn Rice, Travis Knight, and Luc Longley

Maybe he has some "advanced metrics" that indicate Anderson is a stud?
FG%?! You know he shoots almost exclusively 3s, which he hits at a little over 40%? His rebounding rate is similar to Melo's. He had the best on/off #s on his team. I wish we could get him and have them take Noah as part of a large deal where they get Melo. I'd like to be able to limit KP to about 27 mpg anyway.

He would also be a great fit at the backup 4, especially when a post player like Willy is on the floor. Anderson is a fantastic floor spacer.
I hate to move KOQ, I think he's underated both on and off the court to this team. However he's an expiring contract and could probably get us a pick or prospect especially when the year starts. If you take KOQ out of the equation Knicks bigs look like this:
C Willy/Noah
PF KP/Anderson
could do a lot worse.

It's not bad but I want them to either take Noah or give us a lot of sweeteners (at least those 2 1st round pics and that European PG). Maybe Ariza.

if you can trade melo and noah and only take back Beverly and Anderons contract, that would be good. Noah, IMO is never going to play more than 50 games, and the way JH wants to up the pace, I really see zero use for NOAH.
But my hope is that willy is somewhere launching 500 treys as we speak. evey Big is turning into a stretch big

dude Beverly? The FA that signed with the Clippers? That guy?
Rockets 2015-16 won 41 games.
Last year they improved 14 games. Is the the sole reason for a 14 game improvement? of course not.
MDA came in also.
but he started for a team that won 55 games, finished only behind Warriors and Spurs in the west.
Im not saying we should get him, but stats are misleading. The guy is a parameter player.
I think Morey made some very good moves in whole. If Anderson made 17mil, would it be really that much better?
Can't really call out a GM on just one contract because is a bit too high after the guy made moves that took them to a 14 game improvement.

LIke a 14 game improvement? He was an ingredient. I make a cake, I leave out one thing the cake don't bake. "Flour tastes awful, its over rated, why is it so important?"
MDA came in. He has his own recipe. Melo would be a better version of what Anderson does. Be a perimeter player.
Im not angling for Anderson btw, just that one player is not a team.

Anderson was def a MDA move and Morey giving MDA the pieces he craves ala a stretch 4. He put up 17-6 for the Pelicans the year before so they most likely bought into being a stretch 4 that can get buckets and be a threat.
The 14 wins was more Harden and Capella both bringing their games to another level. Of course the spacing that Gordan and Anderson contributed. And the 3&D of Beverly and Ariza all contributed to them being able to bring their games to another level. But I they could have replaced Gordan and Anderson with other 3 point shooters and probably have similar success.

This is agree with. Willy/RA weird see a lot of time on the floor together, which is a good thing

Then he should be more attractive to a team with a 3 year competitive window, which the Knicks won't have.
Like Portland, for example.
