Hi all
No there is again news about Porzingis being injured http://bleacherreport.com/articles/27026...
I'm really concerned about his health, and that he is too injury prone to reach his full potential.
What do you guys think, and do you guys know if it is bad?

Soreness is an injury now?
Yeah this isn't an injury by any means.
Is it the same knee that bothered him over the summer?
my god... he sat out 2nd half of a practice with soreness.
Im surprised the thread wasnt "Porzingis career in jeopardy?"
So you guys are not at all concerned about him being injury prone?
You don't accept that he has a lot of small injuries and several physical issues?

where are you hoping this discussion goes?

I accept that he's had a lot of small injuries and several physical wishes.
I'm not at all concerned about him being injury prone because it's a waste of my time.
What's going to happen or not is going happen or not.
yeah, you always limp away from practice when it means nothing.
No worries.

He could hop away from practice with his left leg being carried in his right arm and I wouldn't be worried.
I just fear that we put all our eggs in the Porzingis-basket, that might turn out to be a very fragile basket.
I really don't want to do it, but maybe we should cash-in on him as long as his value is so high as it is at the moment.

So you're hoping the other GM's don't have the same fears you do?
It really all depends on exactly what it is. Is this Tendonitis? A knee bump? We don't know yet. Let's see what they find out. Can't act like KP is Joel Embiid at this point.
im gonna worry more and that'll help

But we just need two GM's to push each other to a make the price extremely high. A lot of GM's out there might be desperat to land a big star, and most teams in the NBA is right now closer to creating a great team than the Knicks, and therefore more desperate to land another star even though he might be prone to injuries.
KP is 7-3
How many 7-3 guys stay healthy?
The smart way to handle it is to preemptively manage his minutes the way the Spurs did for Duncan for many many years. Keep him in the 24-28 minute range and let him sit 1/10 games. We certainly have enough bigs to rotate and give minutes.
Im pretty sure I read Tim Duncan from 27-38 until he retired avg a tad less than 30 minutes a game. That was 11-12 years. Tim Duncan is way more solid than KP.

The big man depth should make it easy to keep KP's minutes in check. I think the Knicks will be careful with KP's minutes just to be safe.

i think he is working too hard(to show example to teammates), working out hard is good thing, but you must be smart and not overdose, thats leads to injuries

Lebron rolled his ankle in practice today. Maybe he has a chronic injury? I feel like this is the thought process when players get dinged up today.
