Knicks · Trae young to knicks at 8 (page 1)

Not even steve mills can f that up

NY needs a 3 more than anything. I like Bridges from 'Nova. There are many who doubt Young.

No we need a dynamic pg. Well we need a lot lol but we really need a pg. Trey Burke can be a Lou Williams off the bench type.

blkexec @ 4/3/2018 9:46 PM
Don't know why and I can't explain right now....But Bridges looks like a solid role player and not a potential super star.....It's like hitting a base hit. He's a safe pick, but I worry about his upside. I think Bridges will play similar to how he plays in college....Just blend in, which might be good for KP. But is he really a homerun swing?
BRIGGS @ 4/3/2018 9:48 PM
Knicks wit this bs mantra about defense -- we need offense

He's a real good solid piece-- no question about that. Somehow he'll end up on Philly and my god they might win the championship next year. As far as Knicks trae young is a guy who can do things especially on offense that well need

Wow....the stars has aligned once again. I can't believe I'm agreeing with Briggs. But he's right. You see how Burke was able to electrify the knicks. A dynamic pg with KP is the championship combination I thought was key.

And I can't believe I'm saying this but, Trey Young might be that homerun swing. I worry about his defense, but I also worried about Steph Curry defense, and we see how that turned out. If they are comparing him to Steph Curry, then even if he's a fraction of Steph, thats still a great add to a team.

The Kentucky PG I believe, with a 7ft wing span might be a good pick as well. Look at all this length we could possibly have at two critical positions.....KP, Frank, SGA (3 starters with 7ft wing spans) and SGA pushes the ball. Would I pick him at 9? Yep, if he was rated higher than Young and Sexton.

JUst no more Thjr at the 3 - please. Bridges is a 3-D guy. Very good fit.

I get the dynamic part of Young and he could be great or he could be a flop.

We will see.

Here's my plan:

Draft Mikal Bridges
Stretch Noah
O'Quinn leaves
Sign Hezonja
Sign Jerami Grant
Sign Noel
Get a new coach (Jarrett Jack?)

I like young a lot, the problem is I'm not sure he ends up being an upgrade over Burke. Burke has been exactly what we need from our PG. The scoring efficiency and passing has made the difference. We might already have our PG in Burke.

Orlando isn't passing up Trae Young... they clearly need a point guard. They don't need anything else that bad. I just can't see the kid falling past Orlando

I gotta admit I had the same impression. I didn't watch him until the last few games of the tournament but kept waiting for him to do something outstanding. Seems like he just blended in.

Blending in and winning two chips.........
codeunknown @ 4/4/2018 1:33 AM
Get Trae Young at 8 if available.

Attempt to get the Sixers pick whether no 10 or 11, and select Lonnie Walker.

Paris907 @ 4/4/2018 5:55 AM
Should the Gods finally shine upon us, I’ll take Bagley, Mo Bamba, or Jackson...in that order. Interior defense is a must and Bagley has all star written all over him. Tim, Burke, Frank and a free agent Herzonja will work fine.

that would be the swing for the fences move. It would also make the Hardaway sigining look even more foolish.

Trae would probably help Tim.

I agree. Young/THJ to start Burke/Frank off the bench would be a lot of firepower. Draft or find a 3, and we're in good shape.

I think Bridges from Villanova is a slight upgrade over a 3 we can find in FA or later in the draft. I think a defensive big is more valuable to us than bridges. If young falls to us and we get a defensive center......Thats a good draft. Young has the talent to find others.....draw attention.....or shoot the 3. He's a JH type PG who could turn into a star in this up and down system.

Bridges would be great. If you watched last night Trey Burke would have had 15 first half assists if the Knicks didnt brick every jumper they took. It was kind of amazing.

you have been watching too much WNBA. How many guys are tearing up the NBA at 6 feet and 165lbs?

Young would be a bigger waste of a pick than Jordan Hill. This reminds me of when you kept blasting us with Hasheem Thabeet threads and how he would make the Knicks a 50 win team. Right away.

Thank god we have a guy from the G league is 10x the player and under contract in Burke.
