Good news fellas. From the Post.
At least one player favors the Knicks over the Celtics, and it’s a pretty significant one.
Anthony Davis, the superstar forward who has requested a trade from the Pelicans, has included the Knicks — and not the Celtics — on his list of teams he would sign a long-term contract with, according to ESPN.

Anthony Davis' dad doesn't want him on Celtics: 'There's no loyalty'
Davis submitted a list of teams to the Pelicans with whom he would be willing to agree to a contract extension. The Lakers remain the favorite, and according to the report, have moved closer to the Pelicans’ demands in recent talks. Davis’ agent, Rich Paul, is close friends with LeBron James and also represents him.
The Clippers and Bucks are the other teams Davis would consider signing with long term, according to the Athletic.
The Knicks offered Kristaps Porzingis for Davis, The Post’s Marc Berman has reported. It is unlikely the Knicks have enough assets to land the 25-year-old now that Porzingis is a Maverick, but Zion Williamson could swing that notion.
Davis’ father, Anthony Davis Sr., recently ripped the Celtics for how they treated Isaiah Thomas.
“No loyalty. Guy gives his heart and soul and they traded him,” Davis Sr. told ESPN. “This is just my opinion, not Anthony’s. I’ve just seen things over the years with Boston and there’s no loyalty.”
Apparently, Davis may share his father’s opinion.
"we would never want to go to a team that's as disloyal as we are."
So pelicans provided with some choices... to make them agree to LA deal as no one from mentioned teams has anything to even get close to what LA is offering. I do not thing Pels have a choice really. AD will be a Laker before 7th.

Agreed. We really have no leverage unlese we double the kings ransom LA is providing. The good news is that he isnt interested in the Celtics which means Kyrie is most likely done there
Wouldnt give up Zion in a deal for AD. Trouble staying on the court over the years. Would love to see the Knicks relevant again, sooner rather than later. Passing on Williamson (if there)would be a huge mistake. Will be around much longer.
So much for the narrative that nobody wants to play for the Knicks.
We don't have the assets to make a trade.

And this is good. Why should we?
If FAs including AD REALLY want to play in NY they will come to the team without reducing our assets.
If they don't so why bother?

We have nothing to compete with this if a couple of first-round picks are thrown in. It looks Kuzma, Ingram and Ball are being thrown in.

.
Wow. A bit worried that Kyrie follows AD to the Lakers. I think he is a Knick if AD ends up on the Celtics, raps, Knicks, Bucks or Clippers.

Which is why he said it. This is one of the most egregious cases of tampering in all of league history ( i.e. LBJ, Klutch, AD and the Lakers)
This is a fuck up on AD/LBJs part of massive proportions.
Many of the old guard owners ( those who have massive influence in how the TV deals are negotiated) are fucking pissed. Magic, LBJ, the Lakers and Nike just don't give a shit anymore. They are basically saying if we sell enough shoes, and generate enough ratings, we can do whatever the fuck we want.
AD to the Knicks is not possible.

Holy Crap.
Seriously WTF? Who's left after all that? LeBrom and AD playing 2 on 5?

exactly. I never expected us to be a possibility anyway and part of me is glad because I dont want to give up all our assets anymore

We'd still have options. Hahn mentioned we could go after Lilliard if things fall apart. That's the beauty of this trade. It sets us up to go in so many different directions.

If your the Lakers you sell the farm to get AD and add him to LeBron....Much easier to add pieces around LeBron and AD than it is to get a player of AD's calibre.

I think the Knicks can match any offer the Lakers can offer as long as we get the #1 pick/Zion. Zion is a once in a generation type player so right away he's better then any player the Lakers will offer and it's not even close then we have 6 more 1st round picks in the next 5 years along with K.Knox, Frank, M.Robinson, D.Smith Jr, A.Trier, D.Dotson. I think a some combination of all that could better a Lakers offer and it starts with Zion. Now no Zion and then things don't look as good. Not sure i'd do that cause i'd probably wanna keep Zion but if getting AD is the only way to get another max player to come then i'd have to at least think about it and look at the whole deal.
Why didn't Pels want KP? Because he wouldn't sign long turn. Ok so what is the best offer we can put together? Knicks get AD, Hill, E/T Moore- Give 2 first round picks (Dallas ones) Enes the Menace , Wes Matthews and then they can pick any of the following combination: DSjr , Mudiay, Frank, Deandre Jordan, Trier , Dotson, Vonley and one of Trier, Kev Knox or Mitch Rob or another lotto pick. There. Why its good for Pels- We take on more salary than the Lakers offer, our picks are likely more valuable Because We The Knicks nor do we have Lebron and they get another player that is lottery talent from the draft. So 3 picks potentially. Why its good for Us - we just need 1 more all star to sign this year and we going to the ECF while still keeping developing our young players. We sign another all star next year or the year after and win it all. The only question is , Is AD +whoever good enough to challenge the Raptors in the East or the GS and Thunder in the West?
If they refuse offer THE 2019 PICK as well and call it a wrap

No, the Knicks won't make any offers until after the draft lottery to find out where we pick so we would have to wait until the offseason to make our offer cause the Pels wanna know where our pick will be. So no Wes Mathews or D.Jordan or N.Vonleh would be in our offer cause they're all free agents after this season.
