Yikes, bad deal for the Jazz, Jae Crowder was a valuable piece for them plus 2 firsts

Looks like Ja is set in stone as the Griz pick
Dang. Utah got fleeced on that one. Is Conley that good?
I guess pairing Conley and Mitchell would be a good backcourt.
Im happy because I wanted Barrett over Morant anyway
things are falling into place.

Yeah the prices of trades are getting ridiculous now.
Looks like Rubio is on his way out of Utah. Crowder is a bit of a an immediate loss, but would you say he provides markedly more than, let’s say, Dotson?
Conley’s a much better shooter than Rubio and makes a better pairing with Mitchell - in theory.

you gotta pay to play?

Thats fine as long as it doesnt negatively impact your future. Im glad the Knicks FO finally has limits
FYI, this doesn’t stop NOLA from trying to trade up to get the second pick. Not that I would do that if I were either team... just saying.
Hopefully, for Utahs’ sake, Conley and DM mesh well together. I’m not convinced they would be awesome.

Yeah its possible but I have a feeling they are staying at 4. Grizz seem like they want morant badly

You’re probably right.
On a Conley note. 6.4 assists to 1.9 TOs is exceptional. I didn’t realize he protected the ball that well.

True. If Memphis thinks Garland is as good or maybe better than Morant they could get a nice get from Nola and still come away as they want. Crowder had his big moments in Boston but really not a make or break move for them.
Conley is still a performer. The future pick Im sure is well protected if it does not work out.
Good move for them. Korver is considering retirement.
Because of the big contract Conley signed, people started to underate Conley. Conley is an elite talent, boardline allstar pg. Utah paid a little too much, but Utah is not a franchise thats going to attract high level Free Agents so its good move by them.

Believe its more about how much left he has in the tank. Turns 32 this year. If Conley can stay healthy, agree that he can help Utah in the playoffs. Have to find a replacement for Crowder. Dont know if they're developing anyone.
Worth it for Utah. Conley is ideal for their system, efficient smart low ego and will score enough to take pressure off DM - Hope he stays healthy that could be fun to watch.

I agree with this. Utah paid a little to much. But it’s a solid move for Utah’s current situation. Pick #23 and the other pick will be late round picks. Conley gives them a 4th high level player who fits their style to a T.
Conley is quite talented, but he's not a headliner with so many great PGs in the NBA right now. Curry, Westbrook, and I suppose Harden (if you say he's a PG) grab most of the headlines, making the excellent Lillard an also-ran. That pushes Conley even farther from the top-of-mind charts.
The difference is that he doesn't really control the ball nearly as much as the others.
Seems like both teams got the kind of players they like
Conley is very good but very expensive and there's always the injury risk
I am quite surprised by the move; had some sense that CP3 could end up in Utah
