The article also talks about fans only having so much patience. Dont believe fans have a patience for more quick fixes, Hail Marys with injured players, for big money. This team should be fun to watch, next season.

Fizdale knows that he has to show that he can get the team on the same page, with or without big stars.

It turns out Barrett and Brazdeikis have known each other since their youth basketball days in Canada. Barrett, who played one year at Duke, was 11 when he saw Brazdeikis go for 51 points in a game.

“I remember Iggy and I worked really well together,” Barrett said.

Both players are said to be highly competitive, don’t mind playing defense and are versatile in the positions they play. They also want to be stars in New York.

Impatience creates anger and that helps readership. Some fans don’t want to know about decision making or a process that creates results, they want results now, or at least exec’s and coaches that have exhibited this before so they can bank on that hope. WE paraded HOF coaches, former COY’s, etc and they don’t deliver unless you deep talent. That takes time. Some of our most famous UK posters can contradict themselves wanting their cake and eat it too! I do it too at times.
Human nature.

Media now does stories on patience. Ok, at least we can talk about it!

Hof coaches in management positions isn’t the same as having a hof coach running training camp, practice, in game execution etc. Hof coaches trying to push a system on players and coaches while in management is a recipe for failure. Hiring franchise stars for jobs they are not trained for generally doesn’t work out.

RJ is an excellent pick, and his rebounding and passing allow us to control tempo at more than 1 position, which is a major advantage. Building out a starting lineup around RJ and Mitchell gives us a great head-start in talent, and a lot of optionality in tweaking the playing style at the remaining positions.

Who fits out of DSJ, Trier, Knox, Dotson and Ntilikina is a work in progress. The shooting will need to be upgraded. I'm interested in seeing a DSJ/Trier/Barrett/Mitch combo at the 1/2/3/5 spots.

I have been laughing at the press crying about the daily news not being invited to the presser, saying its about free speech, allowing critical voices etc, when Bondy blocked a load of knick fans from twitter earlier in the year

Beck was very outspoken about this but he blocks anyone on twitter that mentions his bias against the Knicks. Felt like Beck's passion about this was more about a venue to attack Dolan again then it was about standing up for a colleague.

Yep, it's shameless hypocrisy - that's why I respect berman after that interview on a fan podcast where he said he never blocks any fan because if you dish it out you have to be able to take it.

Some of these beat writers think they're Robert redford in All the Presidents Men

I can’t listen to Beck on Lowe’s pod anymore. He has to trash the Knicks no matter the topic.

Me too, we're lucky now as a lot of the fan podcast are very enjoyable - Knicks Fan TV, Hard Knicks Life, Knicks Film School etc, glad the hacks and espn don't have a monopoly any more
