I agree that RJ has solid potential and I'm happy with the selection. But those numbers are cherry picked as heck and tell me nothing. Tommy always brings up these stupid stats.

It’s all about opportunities. Basically it’s really up to Frank to be great. The definition of a good player within the NYK system right now means shoot until you arm falls off. Frank can’t go into games think about his teammates they are secondary. There is no place on the Knicks for a team player. If anything I hope we get Fizzled out of here and implement a system where all the players have the knack for passing.


New around here...but I have the same feeling about Fizdale as a coach. I'm hoping that he's matured as a HC. Maybe he watched GS have 37 credited assists on 40 baskets during the finals and that changed him.

I'm not sure Ntilikina is the kind of player who can thrive in the "system" I saw last year, though.

Knicks were tanking for Zion. Fizz chose to focus on indivdual skill sets. This was his way of securing the tank while developing the players. This coming season there will be no tank for Zion mandate. I am interest in seeing the approach Fizz now takes. But I expect to see an actual system now that he will attempt to actually win games.

I'll be honest, if I'm a FA looking at the Knicks last year and thinking of this year, I'm not sure I'd be that confident in Fizdale.. On the other hand, bringing in guys like Irving and KD would have made Fizdale's job much easier because they would have controlled what happened on the floor to a great extent.

First year coaching the Knicks, so you give him a pass, but I want to see more from him than just him having a hot wife.

Even stealing 2 games from them with Conley, Gasol, past it Vince Carter & Zach Randolph, Tony Allen and nobody else really worth mentioning. Mike Conley jr had his best and most efficient season as a pro that year under Fizz.

When hired he agreed with management on the plan to focus on player development(with the hidden agenda to tank). Now if that was the right choice or not is a different argument. But he didn't come up with the game plan himself. He stuck to the plan he and the FO came up with of focusing on individual development to ensure the tank.

I'm guess he is closer to his first year in Memphis than this last season with the Knicks. As that was so terrible he would never have gotten a head coaching job if that was his coaching level.

I finally got to see their the introductory press conference. First off what a bunch of stupid questions by the media lol. The first guy asks "RJ are your shoulders big enough to carry this franchise" first off it was a stupid attempt of being funny/taking a shot at the organization and disrespectful. Then Berman asks about Free agency and a pretty pissed off steve mills shut him down instantly which I loved. Besides that I can't wait to see TH and Iggy in the Summer League

But what we're his shooting percentages? What if I included redshirt freshman. What if I say moved the number down to 800 points while hitting 48% of his shots and 35% of his threes? The stat Tommyvtweeted tells me nothing.

Been saying this all year, in so many words but the phil-fan boys aint trying to hear it. Fizdale led the Griz to a playoff birth in his first year. Was the assistant in Miami during his championship run... LeBron and Wade all sear by him. Dude can coach!!

Agree that its moronic to pass judgement on Fizdale after one season, when the team had a mandate to win the Zion lotto. Right after trading away the team's most productive players. Didnt agree with all the decisions Fizdale made, dont have to, to know that judging Fizdale from this season alone, is shortsighted.
