You dont tank and get a top 3 pick to "Add depth" IMO. You do so to get a player who "May" be a franchise player. Think RJ has the most pedigree to be that type of player. Thought RJ and Zion were the only ones in this years draft that may be "Elite" in NBA. Now lets hope thats the case. With the draft you just never know but it ussually turns out best when teams dont ober think things or reach. Sure, you can miss on the Steph Currys but how many times have you seen teams reach and pass on "best available" and get burned. In any case, I really think we are finally headed in the right direction. Fingers crossed.

Even though I’ve voiced my numerous concerns for RJ one reason I think there’s a good chance he pans out in the long run is that he genuinely really wants to be here. You can tell from the genuine fire in his attitude that he wants to work really hard to bring NY back to winning ways and I think it will go along way to helping him develop here we just gotta give him the same energy.

I would be surprised if Frank was locked into 21 minutes a game like he has been his first two years unless something changes with him. I don't know if there were opportunities for a Frank trade last night. My guess is he will be available for a league minimum deal after next season if a team wants him and he doesn't go back to europe. I can't see the Knicks picking up his option in October. Frank's opportunity to have a career with the Knicks and in the nba may have passed him by.

I hope this isn't the course. Fizz is still a young coach and I hope he is still growing and learning. I think last year he was hoping to transform Frank into some kind of star. Unfortunately they took away his biggest strength (guarding the point), and asked him to do more about his weakness (being aggressive to the hoop, etc.)

I think it's more than reasonable to envision Frank in a Marcus Smart role with a better jump shot (not know but at least he has that potential) That kind of role can be very valuable when you already have a bunch of more-than willing (perhaps too willing) shooters on the team in KK, RJ, DSJ and whoever in FA

We also need to keep in mind that winning cures a lot of ills. We have been horrible for so long that we look at each player and find their faults. Last season, the coach made players play through their faults. Hopefully this was a secret plan and not dumb coaching. Hopefully we get a system in place that emphasizes each player's strengths. Frank's at the moment is pick and roll defense against the point. Last year they played him off point; his defense plummeted; his offense plummeted; and his confidence cratered.

I just don't see where you going to find minutes for him. I said the same thing about baker last yr about this time..

The only reason he's still a knicks is because Perry and mills can't believe how little value he has.

I really hope that this FO put some really solid players around RJ, and not do what they did with KP, FRANk, and Knox

Obviously, the Knicks will add a few more pieces to fill out the roster. Amir Henton is another guard that the Knicks added and dude can ball. Uphill battle for Frank.

The beauty of it is he will have to beat out those guys and work his way toward mins. If he does then we have ourselves a player.

Hard to believe he is only 19. Kid has a great attitude and outlook.

Don't get me wrong...I'm very happy with Barrett. I might even have more doubts about Zion than RJ in this league. Not impossible that Morant and Barrett will be better in the NBA than Zion, though I not making any bets on this yet.

Comes down to whether you think he is a franchise player. If the Knicks' brass thinks he is, then you take him, no questions asked. If not, the Atlanta 8 & 10 trade might have been OK in my eyes.

He also wanted to be here, which made me more happy that we got him.

He has supposedly worked on changing the position of his right hand when he shoots, which hopefully makes a difference. He has good court vision and is a decent rebounder. We might even see some triple doubles from him, eventually.

Can wait to see him in SL for a first look.

New around here...but I have the same feeling about Fizdale as a coach. I'm hoping that he's matured as a HC. Maybe he watched GS have 37 credited assists on 40 baskets during the finals and that changed him.

I'm not sure Ntilikina is the kind of player who can thrive in the "system" I saw last year, though.

Hope he can firm up his D and make his shot more consistent.

Are we looking at him as a SG or SF, 5 years down the line, assuming we haven't traded him for a frequently injured veteran before that.

Are we looking at him as a primary ball handler at some point the "positionless" world of Fizball?

I agree that RJ has solid potential and I'm happy with the selection. But those numbers are cherry picked as heck and tell me nothing. Tommy always brings up these stupid stats.
