Knicks · Hornets low balled walker with a 160mil deal come home man (page 1)

fitzfarm @ 6/28/2019 5:45 PM
I think the knicks have to go after him to pair with Durant.

Dj, Mitch
Durant, Vonleh,
Knox,Iggy,dot
Barrett,ZO,Dot
Walker,DSJR, frank

I love kemba I think he’s a big upgrade over Kyrie

ramtour420 @ 6/28/2019 6:36 PM
Yep, I second that Kemba is the best free agent PG.
Marv @ 6/28/2019 7:05 PM
man i’d love kemba and middleton and pass on durant.

He’s supposed to be a great locker room guy.

He is not the best PG in this class but if it means bringing Durant or Kawhi here then I am all for it. I am pretty sure he’s leaning towards Boston though, no?

why do u want durant with that injury at that age and missing that amount of time?

Hey, I would far rather get Kawhi.

FYI, 5 years sign and trade? Hell no.

Marv @ 6/28/2019 9:02 PM
i’d love to be wrong but i’m assuming we don’t have a shot at kawhi. therefore i’m prioritizing kemba/middleton/dlo/randle/harris/brogdon. young guys (x-kemba) with proven efficient nba games to mix with our own younger guys.

Man how could any New Yorker play for Boston without hating himself deeply for being a Benedict Arnold. Putting on a white and green uniform would make me puke in my mouth even with 100 mill in the bank.

Until we see what Smith jr. and maybe Allen can do, maxing out Walker seems hasty, if not redundant. Frank is still here as well.

Biggest need right now IMO, is at PF . Better place to put big bucks, than a spot we might find does not need such a large investment.

We have some good but inexperienced players for the most part. We're a year or two off before Kemba's skills, max dollars investment, would really be needed.

knickstorrents @ 6/29/2019 11:30 AM
I'm not sure why we are targeting any FA at all really, we should be trading cap space for future picks and continue to build our asset base. We are not in any shape to contend for a championship. Even the Lakers with Lebron and AD and a 3rd max will have trouble unless it's Kawhi since they will have 0 bench. You need to go 10 deep to win a chip.

because we’re HOPING that barrett/brazdeikis/
wilkes/robinson/trier/knox/frank/dsj/dot become what middleton/dlo/randle/harris/brogdon already are - young established efficient nba starters - and they’re available right now for money - not coughing up potential developing youth and picks. and guess what - WE’RE FLUSH WITH MONEY!!!!

As I said, Ainge gave himself room to maneuver.

As much hype as the Terry Rozier rumors will get I'd rather have a 21-year-old DSJ with a way higher ceiling than a 24-year-old Rozier
If DLo hits the open market then I'm all for it. Max DLo @ 25mil/yr. Another 25mil/yr to Randle.

That leaves 19mil to spend on creating a bench and signing vets.

DLo age 23
Barrett age 19
Knox age 19
Randle age 24
Robinson age 21

The average age of the starting lineup 21.2!

More Hornet mistakes.

+1. One of the knee jerk signings I am afraid of if Dolan/Knicks miss out on 1st tier FA's. People have a short memory or dont watch much NBA ball. Fact is the Kemba teams have had very little success. Including years where they tried adding some talent around him. Also dont feel he would be the right PG to help Barrett and Knox develop as he is a shoot first, scoring PG. Imo

Always preferred Kawhi but really think he is going to Lakers or Clippers.
Not afraid of adding KD. When was the last time a top 3 player wanted to sign here? Reading the surgery he had was a much more advanced procedure developed in recent years that minimizes tissue damage. With that said, if we stay with the youth movement and just sign a couple of short term young mid level guys, that would be best.(Powell, Morris, Vucevic, Young, Harris, Pope, Middleton)

Just dont want to see us pay guys like Cousins, Butler, Gasol, Horford or Walker big money and lock us in for multiple years. Just dont think they are so much better than aome other cheaper options.

This post is spot on.
