Knicks · Adrian Wojnarowski : Durant to announce free agent decision tonight . (page 4)

Very happy that both Durant status post Achilles injury and Irving were avoided.
Build around RJ, Mitch, Trier and potentially DSJ. Continue to evaluate Knox and Frank.
Sign underrated 2-way players like Patrick Beverly to budget deals. Let the pot simmer and allow assets to appreciate.
newyorknewyork @ 6/30/2019 5:28 PM
If this is the case then Knicks just have to create their own stars(RJ Barrett).

DeAngelo Russell and Julius Randle, 23 & 24. Fit our timeline team can grow together.

Pretty sure Russell is going to the T-Wolves.

Only the media cares

They don't have more fans, but they are more than some pretend. They aren't as die hard for understandable reasons. They havent been around that long, but this is how you get a new set of die hard fans. Become good and have "superstars" that make the NBA as attractive as it is. It's really that simple.

Wolves apparently told Russell before meet that they would make room.

Sorry man, that ish is changing. No one under 30 cares about the Knicks that much, and why should they?

Brooklyn sure to blow up and arguably surpass the Knicks as a result of this, even if Barclay's is not the same and the fans are mostly plastic.

Old NYC is dying very fast and this is just another nail in its coffin.

A lot of folks born and raised in BK are Nets fans now, even if they may like the Knicks a little. It's a local thing. That's millions of people, and there are a lot of real NBA fans in BK.

Totally Wrong. As bad as the knicks have been we still own this town which pisses the "jersey" nets off

I live In BK and interact with a lot of locals in my work and life who are not transplants and they are BK fans. Not diehard, but they like them.

For example. The Daily News columnist, Shaun King. He's from BK and he's a net fan.

Naw man it will always be the knicks town, they are the Mecca. Brooklyn is and always will be just a borough.and now they have two washed up stars

HOF19 @ 6/30/2019 5:36 PM
A NBA reporter (who supposedly lives in Brooklyn ) is on NBA Network as I am typing this was just asked "What are the expectations for the Nets be now ?"...…...That reporter from Brooklyn answered "Unrealistic probably "...….OH yea gotta make final 4 now Nets (as least that's what Nets fans will demand !).
fitzfarm @ 6/30/2019 5:37 PM
Everyone will laugh when they give up 4 years of draft picks just to get out of there bad contracts
HOF19 @ 6/30/2019 5:38 PM
NBA Network starting to announce new news about signings every 3-4 minutes .
HOF19 @ 6/30/2019 5:39 PM
Signing announcements starting to multiply as I type this .

Knicks - worst record in the league and probably the worst record in team history: 9th in the NBA in attendance.
Nets - first time they've made the playoffs in four years, first time they've had a winning record in five years: last in the NBA in attendance.

Just saying...

fitzfarm @ 6/30/2019 5:39 PM
Mind is still blown that people still think Kyrie is a star, he’s a Terrible defender and chucker who while bricks points the finger at teammates...

By the end of the year the media circus will be laughing at the nets

CrushAlot @ 6/30/2019 5:41 PM
This sucks. When KD first got hurt I didn’t want him. Too much time on twitter and hearing/teafing Nets hype made me want the Knicks to get him.
fitzfarm @ 6/30/2019 5:41 PM
I can already see the highlights on ESPN of DSJR dunking over Kyrie while Kyrie points at Jordan for not backing him up lol
Uptown @ 6/30/2019 5:41 PM
Even though most are saying we dodged a bullet with Kyrie and Durant, it still looks bad that nobody wants to play for this franchise...
Chandler @ 6/30/2019 5:42 PM
Consider that the Nets have to dump D.Russell to make this work. KD and Kyrie liked that remaining group and the Nets organization better than what the Knicks had to offer

Man, we suck; no way to spin that

I will keep fingers crossed for Leonard but also know the likelihood of that is small

anrst @ 6/30/2019 5:43 PM
How funny is it that DeAndre Jordan is part of this splash. As if he matters.
MS @ 6/30/2019 5:43 PM
Glad we have those pics from Dallas and cap space to use on absolutely nobody.

The Knicks also have the worst record in the league over a 20 year span.

Loser franchise confirmed as we just have been owned by the Nets. It’s boogie cousins time. Let the panic signings begin.

Exactly. It’ll be funny to see the nets still have empty seats while Kyrie throws bricks
