Sorry man, that ish is changing. No one under 30 cares about the Knicks that much, and why should they?
Brooklyn sure to blow up and arguably surpass the Knicks as a result of this, even if Barclay's is not the same and the fans are mostly plastic.
Old NYC is dying very fast and this is just another nail in its coffin.
A lot of folks born and raised in BK are Nets fans now, even if they may like the Knicks a little. It's a local thing. That's millions of people, and there are a lot of real NBA fans in BK.
Totally Wrong. As bad as the knicks have been we still own this town which pisses the "jersey" nets off
I live In BK and interact with a lot of locals in my work and life who are not transplants and they are BK fans. Not diehard, but they like them.
For example. The Daily News columnist, Shaun King. He's from BK and he's a net fan.
Naw man it will always be the knicks town, they are the Mecca. Brooklyn is and always will be just a borough.and now they have two washed up stars
Knicks - worst record in the league and probably the worst record in team history: 9th in the NBA in attendance.
Nets - first time they've made the playoffs in four years, first time they've had a winning record in five years: last in the NBA in attendance.Just saying...
Exactly. It’ll be funny to see the nets still have empty seats while Kyrie throws bricks

Why Mitch is already a better player
CrushAlot wrote:This sucks. When KD first got hurt I didn’t want him. Too much time on twitter and hearing/teafing Nets hype made me want the Knicks to get him.
Same....They are already clowning us on Twitter....wait til monday when espn and all those sports shows get rolling.
Uptown wrote:Even though most are saying we dodged a bullet with Kyrie and Durant, it still looks bad that nobody wants to play for this franchise...
They might have let it be known they dont want Kyrie, which made Durant look to the Nets. Looks like FAs want to see the Knicks look like a stable franchise for more than 15 minutes. The longer Perry/Mills show that times have changed, the better our chances will be to attract marquis names in their prime.
Knicks should still sign Randal, and push for Kawhi
Russell Westbrook forces a trade to the knicks just to kick Durant’s ass lol

The fact that he's leaving us to go cross town....The fact that he was already here, along with Royal Ivey (I believe Durant his the godfather to his child), Trier, Durants mentor, and Perry who was apart of the team that selected Durant. Durants agent grew up a knick fan....All signs pointed to the knicks and he still spurned us....the optics look really bad.
Just wait till the Mavs are one of the best teams in the league next year.

lol....thanks but no thanks!!!!!!

Optics are overrated. The Knicks won day 1 of free agency without doing anything. Sign Beverly, Danny Green and Robin Lopez, and allow assets to appreciate.

I believe this may be true, I posted this idea earlier....With that said, all signs pointed to Durant coming here and for him to spurn us and go across town looks really bad...

Believe FAs want to see Dolan continue to let Perry/Mills run the team without any interference, before considering the Knicks. If the Knicks didnt want a Kyrie/Durant package, sounds like the Knicks passing on them, than the other way around.

Twitter is for weak minded people who are needy
This is same media that would call knicks desperate for making same move
I could see Jordan staying if Durant signed, but again he would just be taking minutes away from a better player with no Durant knicks just need to trust the process... just like the 76ers did. We are still rebuilding, but once we get another top 3 pick and Dallas’s first which will be a high lottery (not buying they are a good team with luka and KP).
Say we sign Randal and d lo
Mitch leads the league in blocks
Randal best power forward in NYC in 202O
Knox takes a big step forward
Barrett ROY
Dlo
Bench
Lopez will be payed to knock out Kyrie as he drives to the hoop
Vonleh great off the bench
Iggy the steal of the second round
Zo possibly sixth man of the year
DSJR best athlete off the bench
And pass me another bottle lol
