With all the losing, feel like so many Knick fans have become satisfied with talking about useless blue collar question marks, second round picks, end of bench roster spots, high effort guys that average 3 points a year but "play good defense".
IMO. Kuzma or Shamet would have been a good day. Some second round euro and a 30 pick for Morris is not.
Dude you have to be realistic we weren’t getting kuzma or shamet for a rental. Also nobody is “satisfied”. We want to win. But we are glad they aren’t making stupid moves like the previous GMs did. Yes I know things aren’t great right now but it’s gonna get better. I’d rather keep gathering assets we can use later on.

If memory serves me right, Mo Kark wanted to come to the Knicks years ago when the magic decided to trade him. He’s fine as a place holder or backup for the rest of the season. I’d like to start RJ at SF. Hopefully Knox gets more minutes too.

But your okay with Harkless?
Harmless, pun intended, comes off the books after this season, so it's not that bad. I'm not saying it's good, just not that bad.
Wanted to keep Morris. At some point, we have to keep good players that WANT to be here. Get the asset pile for possible future deals, but guy was a stud and a piece worth keeping if you want to compete.
thats emotion talking, not logic. Morris was great and a good signing and he's not helping us at all now. Those minutes should be going to Knox and Iggy the rest of the way.
Agreed. Let’s be honest when we signed Morris we didn’t think we would get a first rounder for him but to his credit he had a great year and got us an asset. Plus since he loves begging near home and here we can easily resign him. Can’t really complain about it
would you sign with a team that just traded you across the country away from your ailing father..
Dude it’s business happens with every team. I know you want to be negative with every little thing but Morris knows the game and I’m sure he knows he can come back

Morris is gone competing for a title for the next 4-4 1/2 months. We did him a favor. He can live in a hotel and always return. It could be a quick stay for him there if he chooses.
Do you really believe the hype of anyone saying they like NY? Why would Morris want any part of this shit show over competing for the chip in LA for the next few years?
You are talking about the same guy who turned down 3 year offers from both LAC and SAS this past free agent summer, right?
We gave him a 1 year boost in pay but he seemed like an East Coast guy and very genuine about NY. But who knows, right?
Maybe, He originally signed with SAS for $20M. Got $15 from the Knicks to be closer to his dad. Do not think he will pick the Knicks over the Clips unless we overpay. But ok , lets see how it turns out and who is right. Our usual large wager....$1?

The bottom vid reminds me of those Orange Jazzmatazz clips from three years. Plenty of energy and aggression, but little PG play. The Wizards didn't consider bringing him in during a rebuilding year. That's probably a good indicator of how much he still needs to develop.

I am hoping for a turn around for the Knicks. Continue to take short term deals that turns into draft picks and role players and we will get to be competitive in the next few years from now.

I don’t buy that. He wanted to be here. Plus even if we didn’t trade him he was a UFA who could have walked so trading him doesn’t lessen the chance of resigning him. Hell its actually smart. Morris knows they can get assets for him and have cap space to give him a decent deal in the summer

Question i posed. When do we start keeping really good players?

like I said you can always get him back in a few months. I’m guessing you are talking about KP? In fairness him and his sh:Tbag brother demanded a trade so he forced our hand. We tried to trade him for Davis but they weren’t interested. I used to be a big KP fan but lost respect for him. Could we have gotten more back? Probably but his injury and his threat to not play hurt our value

Very aggressive to the basket...seems like he is more of a combo guard or SG. A little like Trier, at times.
Uptown@ 2/6/2020 3:50 PM
Good trade for the most part...when we first signed Morris, the idea of getting a 1st reound pick for a 1 yr rental would have been a great get. We cant let rumored deals on twitter sawy us....we got assets and we are still on track for a rebuild.

No, but we get three more forwards who can't shoot
