for 4 players and a draft pick
Deal made more sense for Suns. They have Bridges, so Oubre wasn't going to factor in as much. CP is an obvious upgrade over Rubio and they're going in a playoff push, so the pick isn't as much if a factor. The right deal wi come along. Just need patience.

How many times have we told ourselves that line before?
Oubre and Rickey as main pieces.......
Suns lowkey got fleeced...imagine if we gave up an identical haul for him.

They got the best player of the trade. Suns did just fine given their objective. OKC got movable or usable talent.
Let’s be real, NY media will click bait fans to be upset no matter what we do.

fleeced how, they don't attract FA (like the knicks) and they already have two main pieces in DA and Booker.
Our young guys are below avg, so we would have to add either Mitch, Knox or RJ, plus a 1st.

Yeah...I wish them better luck than we've had. No way would I want CP3 to have an injury plagued season that pushes Booker to brink and causes him to a team out there that has plenty of ties to his UK family. I wish the Suns all the success in the world. I mean, if Booker decided he wanted to move on from them has-beens and to a place that made him feel more comfortable in the East coast, I wouldn't blame him. But that's neither here or there.
Absolute Fock up.
The Suns were coming into their own right before the playoffs— nearly missing. Now they changed the dynamics plus gave up 2 younger good players. Could’ve waited to the next deadline to see if Paul simply gets cut
Remember when the Knicks drafted Knox over Mikal Bridges? Fun times
I like it for the Suns. Booker, Ayton, Bridges, Saric all need a personality like Paul in the club.

Paul has two years left, not one. Think OKC buys a year and a third so he can walk?
Oubre in a contract year.
Rubio did great. Is it repeatable.
Again Bubble 8 games. Is that sustainable? Ayton started suspended last year. Team is coming into its own bu this the due to oubre?
Maybe the Suns are not done. No team is done.

Saric might be gone. He's a good plan D for us.
Good now lets get westbrook or trade back with the boston for 2 first rounders

It’s a good trade for the suns
Good trade for both, imo
Nadel and Oubre swap is a good one. Two players to watch and will help both teams...especially if Oubre reups with OKC
There's always this subtext that the Knicks were the "losers." The Suns can justify a go for it move. In our situation it would have been misguided at best, stupid (again) at worst. Our strength right now is in draft picks, a few young assets, and cap space. Why would we compromise that for a 35 year old CP3 for $80 million over 2 years? Not for any good reason.
I think both teams did well, much better fit for CP3 and also the suns than if we’d dealt for him
Glad to hear it. Unless we go with Westbrook (hope not) Thibs might try Smith jr. at PG. Its been quiet on that front. Which in a way is good. No stories hyping DSJr's progress. Maybe they are trying not raise expectations too high. What Im hoping anyway.
If Smith jr takes his game to the next level, stays healthy. RJ/Mitch/Knox are progressing. We would have a good core, and the cap space to add some stars. That is if most of the young players deliver.
Knicks have to show a team worth going to, even if the roster has no stars to speak of. Saving cap room on an expensive veteran PG would help balance out this roster. Make it possible to build a deeper squad, with a longer shelf life.

Attract FA like the Knicks??? What are you talking about??? Hopefully you are being sarcastic.
