I almost feel like u can get same value at 20 than u can at 8.
I had fixation on Wiseman but its not happening. Only other guy I truly like is Nesmith but it seems like we could move back some. How could we not need a shooter??????

I agree it's a hard draft to gauge. Even now I've seen mocks that have guys like Nesmith and Terry anywhere between our 2 picks. Huge range for so many players. My focus is taking whoever falls really, or guys who have a higher floor like Vassell. Nesmith is nice as a shooter, but would rather move up from 27 if we want him. The focus for this draft should be finding a high-floor prospect who projects as a good role player alongside a star (if and when we eventually get one.) We have an opportunity to build out a supporting cast first with this draft. Getting a player like Vassell who should be an above average shooter and defender at 6'7 is a win at 8 in most drafts.
Never had warm feet about it! Think we've all over thought it since we've been in limbo for so long - I have no idea what the best thing to do is anymore

TBH, no. We still have all our future draft picks and next year's class is stellar. Just need to grab a rotation guy and keep it moving. Every pick is going to be star. Just don't want a guy who is playing overseas in four years.

It makes to much sense lol
He would be my first pick if we took Bostons 14 26 and 30
I rate him and Vassell as most important pieces to get. I think he has the higher upside but I give Vassell the slight edge just based on defensive intangibles.
The Knicks are always more concerned with the flashy player that creates headlines rather than the player who can actually create results within a system.
We have 3 picks. If just 1 can be an important rotational player that helps Mitch or rj game it’s a success. We have to walk away from this draft with our third definite core player. This is why I prefer moving down and possibly having 5 picks this draft. 1/5 chances of finding a player who can make a difference. Go with the best odds. Throwing darts hoping to hit.
Next year it’s all about drafting a player who is better than rj and Mitch. If there is a guy we really want early in the draft this is when we unload our picks next year to move up and get “our guy.” Combine this with the veterans we sign we will have moved the needle to a decade of success.

Vassell looks like a decent player. A little on the skinny side—maybe he’s more rounded than Nesmith —- and I’ll be first to say I know nothing about Nesmith foot.
But I just figured at 8 take a guy perceived as the best in the draft at something. Remember Nesmith had 5-6 30 point games too in limited time.
Get yourself together man!!
Dont know if its true, but I read that Rose turned down an offer to trade down from Boston. Who wanted to trade up. Regardless, we havent seen any desperate, quick fix moves, as of now. Happy about that.
So far I like the Rose/Perry regime. I see a franchise that is going on their own schedule, not rushing things. If they see an opportunity to build an instant(but not quickly disposable) contender. As a Knicks fan I say go for it. Otherwise I hope mgmt doesnt go for the quick fix. A contender with the shelf life of a fruit fly.
I’m actually feeling a little more optimistic about this draft. I don’t think there will be any superstars but there could be a lot of good players. There is never anything wrong with that.
The only time i got really mad at draft pick is when the knicks drafted frank 3 years ago i was mad as anything. I was so mad left my house here in north carolina went to strip club and spent 500 dollars that night.

Way back in the day 50$ could be a decent night for sure at a strip club. I’ve also been to places in NY later as an adult where 500$ is one dance. And that was literally 20 years ago😉

Its lot different in south with these strip club like for example in myrtle beach south carolina the dancers can chose there price for 30 minute vip room it could range for 350- to over a couple thousands dollars that's little to expensive for me.
Vassell at 8
Quickley or Anthony at 27
Hot feet/ cold feet those need to be the picks

I agree with your picks but prepare to have a bad defensive bucket with toppin or 2 small forwards who can’t shoot (okoro rj)
Or blockbuster move for Westbrook
This is how the Knicks do business.
last night I spent about 15-20 min each scouting these guys--Mostly Draftnet breakdowns...so here's how my knick draft board would look
Lamelo-1
Edwards-2
toppin-3
Okoro-4
Kira-5
Avdija-6
Vassel-7
Killian-8
haliburton-9
Maxey-10
bey-11
There's a little duality about this draft for me
On one hand, I think there's not a lot of high end talent in the draft if any
On the other hand, we did not get tournament season. If you didn't get to see Chris Paul him against West Virginia or Dwayne Wade take over for Marquette, there's a really great chance those guys fall. In the case of Wade March shot him up the draft board. So I don't really know for sure if drafting at 4 is better than 8 this year
