Ack, it's over- lock up the thread

I thought Hayward would've loved joining teams with a fellow Trump supporter...eff him, hope he breaks his thumb whacking off on some PC game. Will probably hurt himself on opening night. And eff the Celtics. Turner is a legit upgrade. RJ and Obi don't need no has-beens in their corner anyway.

ha! When you see the teams he's played for and wants to play for, it's clear he was just using us

Chandler @ 11/21/2020 8:39 AM

^^^ whoever Kev is should spend 1 second researching first: celts were first team w a black head coach; first team w a black starting five

and while boston as a city has a lot of work to do for racial and social justice, i feel it's several rungs up the ladder from NY

Nalod @ 11/21/2020 9:30 AM
He was drafted by Utah. Did not choose to go there.
If Utah is what Kev says he choose to leave there. Boston the city as said is one thing but he went to be with his college coach, get paid, and lead a young team.
He had a horrific injury and undiva like worked to get back. He played on an ankle this past playoffs that by all accounts should not have after a sprain. He has an opt out of his contract. Where is the diva?
His wife gave money to trump in 2016. Did she do it again this year? Not all republicans are racist.
Haywood does have that edgy fascist hair cut.
He is white, grew up in Indiana, maybe his wife did too, they have kids, he went to Butler, and now he has freedom to choose.
Seems to be a bit stretch to call him out on that. Where is the diva act?

As for his game, I saw him play live in Utah and he blew me away. His passing, ball control, and shooting is top notch. He filled out and is stronger now. Get him here, is a good player for the next three years.
That knicks are restraint on years and money is very encouraging. seems we are not wanting to give him 4 years. He wants that in Indy. He should ask for it. Its smart for him and his career. If we don’t feel the same then we pass?

unstopaball12 @ 11/21/2020 9:43 AM
Hayward to pacers
Randle to celtics
Brogdon to knicks

Please make this happen

Those teams have a college bball vibe. Heavy on the fundementals. Im guessing thats the draw.

Nice

Im implying that his first coach was Jerry Sloan, old school as they come. Gave the Jazz that rep. His next coach was a succesful college coach, Quin Snyder. His next coach was his old college coach.

These coaches stressed the fundementals. Im guessing Hayward saw the same qualities in Indiana. Indiana has an old school rep as well. From their history as a franchise, going back to the glory days of college ball.

Would rather go for bogdanovic who is younger, cheaper & can do more than Hayward at the SF spot.

Yeah, we need to move on. Tired of these dudes trying to play us just to up their offers. If he wants Indiana so much, let them work out creative ways to eff their cap for the foreseeable future.

They will take us seriously if we can get to the playoffs without a major trade or big FA signing. Thats when they will know things have really changed.

You got “Hoosier” on the brain. They are a small market team, a bit of roster turnover and habitually change coaches every 4 years as per habit. They do OK.
Sloan was old school hard nose which was true. It also made him obsolete at the end. Be it as he was, He only coached him one season where Haywood started 17 games. Tyrone Corbin had him after that until Snider had him his 4th season.
Your stereotyping him a bit trying to get in his head. Haywood is a big time video gamer, married with a few kids and wants to go play at home perhaps. LIke Melo did. LOL. Maybe the family is tight and its not Terrible. Larry Bird ended there because thats where he is from and had family.
What I did not know was his desire for legacy and the lure of the Celtic to build a winner with him. Things don’t work out. first quarter in his debut his foot was staring back at him in of those nauseating leg injuries. ITs two years to come back and he did. In between Tatum arrives and is the shit.
Maybe the guy wants to be governor of Indy and be the next Pence. I don’t know the guy like that or otherwise.

Yep, Glad we didn't really indulge that this year. Hayward and Bogdanovic can go **** themselves! We know they're going elsewhere

By all accounts we were under bidding for Haywood and not doing him any favors.
Its not stupid for his agent to create a market for him and get the best price. He wants to play in Indy, bless his heart! If he wants to be here and can find a number that makes him happy thats fine too. Knicks wanted 2-3 years. He wants 4. Knicks willing to pay him in those years. No need to hate him him or others.
When the time is right Leon will attract players. Until then he can’t cockblock himself with long contracts.

smackeddog @ 11/21/2020 1:36 PM

Glad we didn't pay that- didn't realise the Hornets had that kind of money free???

Didnt say he was so old school he dressed from the last century. "Gaming?" we're talking about "gaming"??

Its about playing, and emphasizing team ball. You see him playing with MDA and Hsrden? Its a stylistic difference. Betcha by golly wow, Nalod.
