Yeah. I like it. Frank, DSjr, Knox, Obi, Mitch lineup was good. RJ settled down. Noel is a good center.
Randle and Payton needs to go.
Solid win, especially after such a long time out. Sloppy game with highs and lows but the best came from our youngsters.
Toppin was great. RJ picked up after a very bad start. Noel and Payton had very strong games.
And even if their boxscores dont show it, Knox, DSJ and Frank had really solid games being very active! love it!
It’s good to give Knox enough room to get some confidence. Build off of that.
It seems the overall feel and aura of this team is much better. I can see improvements in DSJ and Knox i hope they continue the upward trend. I still feel like Randle still feels like he needs to carry this team and in doing so will continue his turnover prone ways. Obi at the 8 spot looks like the right call, it will just take time to adjust in the NBA and i think he can excel.
Other than Randle and the general lack of shooting im generally encouraged by this group.
Reasons to be very excited ....We have to get rid of No handles Randle
GLad we won
We started out sloppy; then got less sloppy. i wasn't really excited about anyone other than Toppin
marginal improvement from KK. DSJ still can't shoot; frank by and large still won't shoot. Somehow RJ's stat line looked way better than his game
mitch and noel both did very well on the defensive end of the court; nothing really on the other end
only first game of preseason but sorry to be a pickle puss but we just weren't as bad as detroit. we were not good
i never felt the team was definitely going to get a score, or that they were definitely going to get a stop.
Hoping for continued growth and cohesion
Good to see basketball
No one excited me on the Knicks or Pistons Pistons can’t start a 18 yo pg in the nba. Stupid?
I still believe we needed a 3 point marksman—- time will tell
I liked seeing Frank play the two..... it just took them 4 years of either playing him at the 1 or the 3 for them to figure it out.

Having a good coach helps especially one who is known for defense which we know is Frank’s strength. But yeah I agree he looks more comfortable at the 2
Boy, oh boy. First game in like forever. I am now in Cali because of the covid. Had to move back to the US. I am an essential worker, providing relief and growing medication legally here in Cali. Here is my recap:
What about the game? Well, with 4 minutes and 20 seconds left in the game we were up 22 to 14 in assists and had 14 more rebounds than the Pistons. I really really really like our approach of stops leading to fast break opportunities. And Thibs is the man.

He will muscle his way to a 20/10 line tho

Toppin has to start over him. It’s a no brainer

He will absolutely have that line and everyone will call him our best player. Meanwhile, everytime he touches the ball, he looks like he’ll turn it over.
I'm not a fan, but didn't Randle essentially hit the most important shot of the game essentially sealing the victory? You wouldn't know it based on the comments.
We won, but it was disappointing (at least offensively) to see most of the returning players look the same as last year. It's just one game, but DSJ is still reluctant to shoot wide open threes. Randle is still Randle. RJ looked about the same as last year. Also Robinson's is starting to worry me off the court. Six agents in three years and he's tweeting about "loyalty?" I'm more open to moving him now if the right deal comes along. Do we really trust giving him a big contract at this point?
Also, Detroit is not a good team so I'm not ready to declare improvement on defense.

I am hoping IQ can provide some of that, and if we're lucky KK may provide some of that if he starts getting comfortable out there. Right now, Bullock (sadly) is the only guy on our whole team who i consistently expect to hit an open jumper.

He’s a good defensive player rebounder high % offensive player —- but concerns are certainly noted. I think Noel can do enough to start which will modify Robinsons stats Not sure we’re gonna have a happy camper. To bad we have a limited pre season.

Payton played well.
Besides Obi, I was most impressed with Knox. He looked more fluid
