Thibs says the rotations are fluid at this point, but the idea of Payton taking away minutes from Dennis, Frank and Quickley this season is mind-boggling to me
Never understood resigning Payton. Between Frank, DSJr, Quickley, and Jared Harper, one of those guys would have stepped up. The Knicks should have just rolled with the PGs we had without bringing back Payton.

Payton has historically done a better job of running the point in NY, I know thats not saying a lot. Will be disappointed if neither Frank or DSJr makes a strong case to start by the end of preseason. Not the absolute deadline, long season. But still.

Smear lipstick on a pig and it's still a pig. I don't seen any winning combination out of this group, so the starting lineup doesn't mean much. I just want to see the younger players get minutes. The Noel over Mitch swap is a little questionable in my mind, but hey, whatever. I gave Fiz a year of ineptitude before I had enough. I'm not gonna crap on Thibs when it's just preseason.

I wasnt sure of the lineup, was pretty sure it would look like this. Wasnt expecting the younger players to start. Not a big deal, as long as they dont dominate the minutes, regardless of their play.

Mitch was our best player and one of the few rays of positivity we had last year and he gets rewarded by having to play behind Noel, a guy on his 4th team? What message does that send to our young players? If we are going to rebuild, lets not half-ass it! Again, I know its only the 1st game of the pre-season but this cant be the opening day line up!

Don't worry. Noel will miss time after averaging 40 mins a game thru the first 25 and Mitch will lap up all that time
