If we can get Drummond for frank and Knox you give those two guys a chance to play and a free two month look at Drummond on the Knicks it cost nothing the downside is almost zero? He probably would really help us.

He doesn't fit

I'd rather use the cap space on something else

I'm torn in this. I really can't get excited about adding players to compete for the play-in game. That said, the more you scrutinize Drummond's game, the less inclined you are to lose sleep over it. Drummond is a double double machine. He'd be great in the dunkers spot. But the more responsibilities he has on offense, the more he sucks. His true shooting percentage this year is about the same as Frank's last year. Drummond is a big! Essentially, he's going to be stuck doing the same thing as Mitch/Noel if you're going to incorporate him into winning basketball. So yeah, there might be a slight bump in offense, but the defense takes a nosedive. You're just trading for the sake of trading if you bring in Noel. The Knicks need to hold tight until something better comes along.
More reports that knicks talking with Cav’s and it might be the price keeps going down. We have the money to take him.
While it makes sense given he is an upgrade to Taj and offensively to Noel (and his knees) its the price.
IF its Rivers and a future currency like 2nd rounder then sure, why not.
Question is after this season. I’m assuming Mitch is about done for the year. Noel is a free agent. Drum a double double machine but deemed “empty” by many gets 23mm. What is. His price for next year? Is he a motivated worker like Thibs wants? Or is this a short term rental?
Give me facts then I’ll set the price.

Im pro Drummond. Between his rebounding and inside scoring ... just the fact he can give us a ton of second opportunities. For rivers, Frank and our worst 2nd why not? That puts Mitch in the second unit with obi and quick ... to add the best rebounder in the game is hard to walk away from if the price is so low . If dynamic with randle this team might win a playoff series, and grab the attention of high end free agents.

I think these reports are just pure speculation. Mitch is coming back next month. Why panic and give up assets for Drummond? Also, his advanced stat offensive numbers are bad for a big and his defense is laughably bad at time.
Yes, its all speculation. We just having fun. Cavs paid very little for him last year. I’d speculate that Brock Aller was part of the deal then and has his insights with his former mates. Maybe we the last resort before they buy him out.
IF they do, he can go anywhere there is a need. I’m more concerned about where he fits in the future if any.
I’d just assume we pass but if Kenny Payne wants this guy and he wants to work then he is welcome to “Wildcat Gotham” and let the sweat flow.

Leon and Wes needed time for among many things. Results included. The past is done. They are here to change the present and the future. I’d say they are off to a nice start. Team is hovering near .500. That says something. Dolan is not more newsworthy that what’s on the court. I like that Thibs is coming across as “having fun” and team is prepared. What gets players attention is also playing the Knicks and either getting beat or they put up a fight. We are known to be prepared and players respect the shyt out of that!

He's on his way to being Dwight Howard 2.0, except you can justify taking a chance on Dwight because he was once considered the 2nd best player in the league and was once the top dog on really good teams. Not the case with Drummond. The league knows what he's about. Yeah, somebody will be willing to take him on, and then quickly look to unload him. Hopefully it won't be the Knicks.

I’m not exactly a fan of bringing Drummond. First, we have a starting center in Robinson and an adequate replacement in Noel. If the Cavs fail to trade him by the deadline, they will buyout him. I'm not saying that in that case we can bring him in as a free agent because he will probably join the Nets, but I want to say I wouldn't really bring in a player we don't need too much, and his team is planning to buyout him anyway.
Also, Andre has almost $ 29 million this season, and we don’t have that much space on the cap and someone has to go in the opposite direction as well. Who would that be?

except that it doesnt. Drummond is not an offensive force. He's simply bad. You cant seeem to get past the biceps and look at him as an actual basketball player which he is not very good at.
Do you know how bad Drummond is? He's shooting .545 from 0-3 feet this, also known as "at the rim."
By comparison
Elfrid is shooting .563 from 0-3 feet
In fact of everyone on the whole Knicks roster only Burks and Rose are worse from 0-3 feet than Drummond. He's worse from farther out. He doesnt hit FTs and he doesnt protect the rim. He thinks he's a star.
At least Kanter is gets buckets around the basket. Drummond is so bad. Adds zero value.
