In a year when most of would have been satisfied with them making the play in tournament they have exceeded expectations. Man it feels good to have a team in the mix of the playoffs. Now go out there and kick the Hawks ass.
Congrats UKers! We the fans have enjoyed this ride thus far. Short of a sweep this was a great season! Even a 1st round bounce to the Hawks would not ruin it.
I now we did them well this season but as JVG preached playoffs a whole new game!

This team has enough discipline to play well in the playoffs. I think that’s been Thibs’ approach. He has coached ever game this season as if it was a playoff game. The rotations have been tight for a long time and everyone on the team knows their role. We could definitely get out of the 1st round.

that said there were a lot of pessimistic posts -- e.g., will we start 1-11

I still can't believe how well we played after the All Star Break. Looking at are schedule I thought for sure we were going to fall apart. Not only did we not fall apart but the team got better
I remember posting before the start of the season, that i wished the Knicks will be this season's surprise team. A team pegged by NBA experts to be scrapping the bottom of the standings but would surprise everyone by surpassing everyone's expectations. Year in and year out i have been saying, this will be the year, for 8 years that was the case. Fast forward to the end of this season, i finally got my wish! The Knicks is this year's surprise team! Hoping the team can make some noise in the playoffs!!!

Thibs deserves his fair share of credit but there are a number of men behind him that made the difference like Johnnie Bryant. Remember that this is the same team last year that was a few games short of the league's worst record. You don't turn something like that around without MAJOR internal development that comes from player development coaches and trainers to keep them healthy despite heavy minutes. I'm still a skeptic of these players but am happily eating crow for this season.

Deep down I still fear ownership, but if Leon + Thibs + crew can operate without intervention and with the same goals in mind, we are in good shape.

I predicted 34 to 37 wins(purely based on the coaching staff) but if we started the season with Rose on the roster and Noel as our starter, I'm sure we would be 3rd in the east.
