I think it should be Rose to set the tone, but just limit his minutes, and give time to Burks and maybe Frank if he can manage to slow down Trae. I just don't see what Elf is bringing at this point.

Rose. Stick Frank on Trae from the word go to relieve Derrick of his defensive duties and when he fouls out then so be it, his offense won't be missed anyway.

Honestly Austin Rivers would have been better than Payton. Not sure why Payton wasn’t cut. It’s only a 2MM delta.

Rose played 38 mins in game 1. More mins than Randle, RJ, Trae Young, Boggs, etc. This idea that Rose should be coming off the bench doesn't hold much sense anymore when we see him entering the game at the 8 minute mark of the 1st and 3rd quarters to inject energy into the starters and help dig us out of a hole. If Rose starts, he can get the proper rest that he needs as opposed to coming in at the 8 min mark and playing 18-20 straight mins in each half.
Time for Thibs to cut the nonsense and put Rose in the starting lineup. Quickley, Burks and Obi can provide more than enough offense off the bench...

I’d go with Frank only because I prefer rose coming in as a substitute. But I knovthe risk is a slow start like what happened game 1... but honestly we lost because Randle was shell shock
Iq was out there like he played 10 years of playoff games
Toppin looked more un rattled in the playoffs than he did in the regular season
