Knicks · Would you trade for Kemba? (page 4)

OKC has SGA as their best player and now have Kemba in the lineup next to him. This should be fun.

With the possibility of a Cade Cunningham. They could also have the 5 pick if Houston drops out of top 4.

With the likes of Poku,Maledon, and Dort coming off the bench. Team for the future for sure.

I am surprised it only took a 1st and taking back Horford to dump that contract. In other news, OKC now has 36 draft picks between now and the 2027 draft including 18 first round picks. They could offer the 4-6th pick and like 10 other 1st round picks for Cade Cunningham and still have all their own draft picks.

Would OKC move SGA?

How does Presti compel all opposing GMs to give him first round picks, it's beyond ridiculous. And why does he need so many? He's like a junkie!

Kemba will definitely be on the move later this summer, i'm guessing to the Knicks, Mavs or Lakers.
BigDaddyG @ 6/18/2021 2:12 PM
Ha, what does it say that the first trade that Brad made after leaving the locker room was Kemba?

I just don't see it. Especially those teams

Mavs maybe in a KP trade

Anyhow Knicks should see if they can trade for one of those Thunder picks. I don’t think the plan is for them to drafts a crap ton of rookies in one single year.

I personally wouldn't touch Kemba with a ten foot pole. Kemba dosen't help the Mavs imo but Lakers might definitely do it.

Mavs with Doncic and Brunson will trade for a guy who is a small'ish ball handler with a bad knee just to dump KP's contract and get some draft picks?

Yes because the contract is shorter and they need ways to get guys on the roster for cheap.

Annoyingly, it means OKC now have 16 and 18 vs our 19 and 21, so they could easily trump us if they wanted to combine those to move up
smackeddog @ 6/18/2021 5:38 PM

The Celtics homer media is a joke- how is it a good deal to give up a first to get off a contract you dished out a year ago, while you take back a player you let go because their new contract was huge overpay, while still not getting under the cap to sign any player of significance?

I see it differently we should look to trade for one of those. Not a lot of teams are going to look to move back to #16 and #18 right outside the lottery when they are actually in the lottery and vice verse, those picks range will likely not move up enough to sacrifice drafting two players for one. Especially in this draft where 6 teams have over a third of the draft picks.

On the flip side we could try to move up from pick #21 with our assets, or even try to trade them that Mavs 2023 pick which wouldn’t be that high either to get either 16 or 18.

Knicks could come away with two better kids this year, or three first round kids too. Everyone says the Knicks don’t have time for rookies, but we should draft more as we head towards going over the cap in two seasons.

They didn't let Horford go. He was one of the first rats to get off that ship. And now he's forced to return. That should work out well. Unless they create some magic out of their TPE, I don't see how they can do anything meaningful without trading Jaylen.

Don’t laugh. The media has been having a meltdown trying to endorse that trade for weeks now.
