Thinking about it, I don't believe we have any particularly significant moves up our sleeves- our guard rotation is set with RJ, Burke, Rose, Quickly, the rookies, so there's no way we would do a move for Schroeder even if cheap. Maybe we take a cheap flier on Winslow or something like that (defense, good playmaker, actually was the defacto PG for a while with the Heat)

2.7mm is basically the money they saved by trading back in the first round. Bought us a Taj!

Nope. Vet min, so no salary cap hit at all. Even better.
Bro finally lands his dream job in back yard of Disney world
so just off the top of my head, pg opportunities still exist (no idea how to structure a deal and not saying i want many of these guys)
kemba
Marcus Smart
Sacramento has 3 pgs if you include Davion Mitchell weak up front
Charlotte has 2 starting pgs and no bigs
reggie Jackson -- has to decide between love and money
orland suggs, anthony, fultz -- weak up front
toronto FVF, Flynn, Dragic
dennis -- his own worst enemy
then there are the K.Dunn, C.White's to join the F.Ntlikina and E.Paytons of the world -- former lottery picks that are largely unloved
After loosing Bullock, I think Marcus Smart at PG might be an option to explore. Smart can guard multiple positions. Ball movement and defense. The offense runs primarily through Randle.
Melo to the Lakers. Hate the super friends aspect of this, but will be glad to see Melo have a shot at a ring.
Steph gonna be 37 in that last year, primed to sign a 4 year $240M contract ala CP3

Not a surprise. Not the floor general we deserve it need. But he's better than Elfrid.

Lala's acting career must be over. Melo thinks it's safe to show his face out there.

guy was a rookie of the year candidate and made all rookie teams RJ didn't
My guess: he's the Miami version of Alonzo Trier. He's an undersized two and not good enough facilitator to be a pg. just stunned though that they'll get nothing for him, meaning other teams' interest was tepid at best

His tunnel vision isn't Trier level, but it isn't good. Reports said it was improving tho.
Is Kendrick Nunn an option for us?

miami is weird. one year Nunn is the latest gem then he's gone for nothing. One year Herro is "how did he slip to where he did in the draft" the next they're saying he's not paying enough attention to his craft etc. We'll find out soon enough if they've improved.

At the bare minimum, we know he can attack the rim and shoot the 3. For all the talk of Elfrid being a floor general, he was awful at seeing the floor. If Nunn, at the bare minimum, can kick out to the three and pass that ball ahead to RJ consistently on the fastbreak, he'd be a huge upgrade over Elfrid. That said, I'm not crazy about him. But the Knicks are desperate for a PG and desperate times call for desperate measures.
