I was hoping the Spurs might try to sign Collins with their cap space, but Atlanta played their cards right on that deal.

1:45 p.m. ET: Guard Victor Oladipo has agreed to a one-year deal with the Miami Heat, a source told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Oladipo will continue to rehab his quad tendon injury through the start of the season, a source told ESPN. He averaged 19.8 points in 33 games last season with the Indiana Pacers, Houston Rockets and Heat.

No one can say sheet about the Fournier contract if this true. Dude got Lonzo money, sans the years.

Theo is back. This FO pulled it off. They upgraded all the players I wanted upgraded and brought back everyone I wanted back.

Out: Elf
In: Kemba

Out: Frank
In: Grimes

Out: Reggie
In: EF

Out: Norvel
In: Sims

Kept: Theo, Rose, Burks, Taj, Noel, IQ, Obi, Mitch, Randle

On the Bubble: Knox - If he don't improve this season he is next to get upgraded.

Draft: Miles McBride - In the draft thread once I saw highlights on him I knew he was the man I wanted to draft.

Draft: We also kept all of our assets and parleyed them into more future assets.

In my opinion, this offseason was a homerun when you take into account what we had to work with. No real difference makers were available. We signed everyone to reasonable contracts with a pay bump as a thank you for the amazing job they did last season. Players around the league will notice things like that. We still have assets and most of the people we signed are only committed to us for 2 years unless we want more. Time to get ready to watch some summer league because I am satisfied with the job Leon Rose and the Knicks FO has done.

I give FA an A+. They got the most important guy onto the roster.

Best of all, for the second season running, we have no albatross contracts at all- look at all the contracts that got signed this offseason in comparison. Hopefully we have a competitive team, plus we have flexibility and all our picks plus 2 extra firsts.
EwingsGlass @ 8/4/2021 5:43 PM
Assuming he gets medical clearance, would you consider Lamarcus Aldridge with the Room Exception?

Yes.

Lakers just signed Melo as a 37 year old role playing role player so I'd definitely sign Lamarcus Aldridge as a 36 year old role playing role player.

C: Nerlens Noel.
PF: Lamarcus Aldridge.
SF: Alec Burks.
SG: Immanuel Quickley.
PG: Derrick Rose.

That's a firepower bench unit with all 3 of McBride (PG), Quentin Grimes (SF) and Obi Toppin (PF) developing for 2022-2023 and beyond.

I stop reading when u mention homerun .. We strike-out when we traded a 19th pick we really needed in the upcoming season. Be lucky if the Knicks win 30 games next season.
If Brown was healthy and Founier & Kemba was injured for the playoffs, Boston Celtics Smart/Brown/Tatum/Triston would've went 7 games against a no-center Brooklyn Nets team.
Leon Rose are still signing FA players NO NBA team want (Kemba/Fournier/Burks/Noel) .. having a 41 win season with no fans in the stadium will be completely different when 20K fans are standing yelling/screaming in a stadium.

Can you explain this? Who should we have taken and how is that an issue now?
