Theo is back. This FO pulled it off. They upgraded all the players I wanted upgraded and brought back everyone I wanted back. Out: Elf
In: Kemba
Out: Frank
In: Grimes
Out: Reggie
In: EF
Out: Norvel
In: Sims
Kept: Theo, Rose, Burks, Taj, Noel, IQ, Obi, Mitch, Randle
On the Bubble: Knox - If he don't improve this season he is next to get upgraded.
Draft: Miles McBride - In the draft thread once I saw highlights on him I knew he was the man I wanted to draft.
Draft: We also kept all of our assets and parleyed them into more future assets.
In my opinion, this offseason was a homerun when you take into account what we had to work with. No real difference makers were available. We signed everyone to reasonable contracts with a pay bump as a thank you for the amazing job they did last season. Players around the league will notice things like that. We still have assets and most of the people we signed are only committed to us for 2 years unless we want more. Time to get ready to watch some summer league because I am satisfied with the job Leon Rose and the Knicks FO has done.
I give FA an A+. They got the most important guy onto the roster.
Berman now saying it was joke 😥 Do we need to cut Luca in order to save Theo? 😂

My only hope now is that we can bring him in as a coach. Berman also goes on the block list since he can't be trusted.
If there is a way to upgrade our center position by trading Mitch,Knox and a few picks, I’d consider this a big win of an offseason.

I would trade Mitch, Knox and a pick for Myles Turner in a heartbeat.

Can you explain this? Who should we have taken and how is that an issue now?
Actually explain who we should get to play the PG because with that 3 mil or so cap hold for that pick, Kemba is not signing here for 5 mil.

OKC would be less likely to release him. I think if both sides agree, contract terms can be changed. If I'm OKC I I eat Kemba's full contract for this season and negotiate a buy out for 20 million off next seasons salary.

I can't remember the last time an NBA contract was restructured. This isn't the NFL. But point is Knicks don't have Kemba this season.
Would rather trade for Jaren Jackson Jr - As much as I like Mitch & Obi - they and pick(s) could get it done. Then would do a sign & trade for Oubre involving Knox & Vildoza.

Feel like I just stepped into a 24 hour time lapse?

Wouldn't mind taking a crack at Hamidou or Josh Hart. I believe Briggs had a man crush on Jared Vanderbilt at one point. I'd give his agent a call.
I can't believe Lauri Markkanen is still available- he'd be a great pick up for a team.
I guess at this point, are there any teams left with under cap money?
And is Kawhi sitting the year out unsigned?

I've read that he's resigned to the idea of going back on a one-year deal. He was supposed to go to San Antonio as part of a sign and trade, but San Antonio reportedly declined because he wanted too much money.

Kawahi is waiting out the clips for his supermax extension
Rose probably called his camp and they said they weren’t interested

WOW really? Back to the Spurs and an undermanned team?

I meant back to the Bulls and lessened role.
Lakers fans. Can't think of a fan base with their heads more up their asses. All those guys are worse than Fournier and maybe one of those guys, maybe two if you want to count Melo, make our squad.
So I don't pay attention to football/soccer very much but check out the difference in top end salary for another sport:
https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2...In January, it was reported that the four-year contract Lionel Messi signed in 2017 was worth a whopping $673.8 million. Messi's annual salary of $168.5 million is believed to be the richest ever paid to an athlete.
