Could be a mirage but damn this kid was very impressive.

So explosive but at same took his time and was very solid defensively — did not jump at every fake and handled 1 v 1 switches on smaller ball handlers outstanding. Very nice insurance pick up I hope.

And the picks he sets are super solid. He'll learn a lot from Mitch, Noel, Taj

And he boxes out when there's a shot. I was very impressed by his play.

Any thoughts about his shot release? He at least has one but release seems low.
Like most rooks he will be a fouling machine in the NBA.
His two way contract tells us he is a tweener for the big show and the Gleague. I see the potential. Let’s start with him being a solid role player before we have dreams of grandeur……..

The Knicks first 3 SL games Jericho performance looked like the Knicks best draft pick .. showing athletic skills and movement of a young upcoming F/C .. Plus tandem well with Toppin in the front-court on both side of the court .. Jericho's (Covid) absence in a SL game handed the team a loss.

That might be all true. Im speaking to his fundamental skills. Some are very good. His 9 fouls one game was interesting.

Mentioned this elsewhere...His father Walt McBride played at Xavier and I think he also played a bit in Europe. In one game, Miles had played some good D on a player, eventually shutting him down, I think, and his dad commented to him that he should've recognized the guys tendencies earlier, and proceeded to mention what he had seen him doing.

His father was more of a defensive player, so I expect he schooled Miles on that aspect of the game. As a FB quarterback, he would have also have had to make observations about opposition defenses, and adjust accordingly

Hopefully he brings this intelligence to his NBA game. Both he, Sims, and Grimes played like they had a clue on the defensive end, and even Rokas impressed (surprised) me with his defensive intensity. Add IQ and his defensive ability to this young mix, and Thibs should have a number of defensive tools to potentially use against some of the better PGs.
