Knicks · Mitchell Robinson found his Man Strength (page 10)

His contract seems a little on the high side for a center in this day and age, especially for one that has yet to make an NBA 3.
On the other hand, you can look at it as a make-good on the bargain basement deal he got as a rookie $6.5m/4yr.

This puts him at $66.5m over 8 years for his career - still an excellent value when you look at it that way. Some notable centers turned it up a notch in their age 24/25 seasons (Capela, DeAndre Jordan, Gobert), dramatically improving. Hoping for continued success and growth from Mitch.

Way to much money for a put back and dunk guy. Simms does the same thing at a much friendlier rate.

They should of traded him last year at the deadline. A contender would of loved his cheap deal and bird rights.

They really don't. Robinson is a far far better rim protector than Sims.

Robinson is one of the best shot blockers in the nba. You can’t just base that purely on stats to. Players he’s defending have to either pass on shots or change their shots because they know he’s there

Thats what good shot blockers do. They call that “rim protection”.
You think they pay him 18mm for his offense?

GustavBahler @ 8/17/2022 8:25 PM
Agree that its not an overpay for a starting center. Still dont care if Mitch can drain a 3, but I hope he's been working on a midrange game.

His free throws. That's the easiest way to boost his game.

He came in after a long time being out and had to get in shape during the season and not reinjure the foot.
Kudos to Front office, his agent, and him for all being drama free and professional. I assume everyone is happy!
Videos are fun but its not like other players are not getting ready for the season either.
He should start the season well if he remains healthy and in shape!

Does it mean we going to play higher tempo? Who knows. He wants to be faster. Not a damn thing wrong with that.
Yes, he needs to imporove his FT's!!!!!

Love that he is 24 and is under contract for 4 more. Can’t wait to see what Brunson can do with him.

Right? Should be better results than Kemba, Payton, Ntilikina and Mudiay.

He’s more than that tho. His defense, shot blocking and rebounding is essential. Once we are forced to go with a smaller lineup by January because Randle and Obi suck he will be even more important

martin @ 8/23/2022 6:39 PM
We shall be convinced during the season but at least he is practicing those FTs

It’s like he’s trying to shoot them using little more than his wrist.
