I'll put it one further... RJ missing layup after layup on drives won't cut it either

Totally agree.

I was going to say we need RJ to improve like Tatum has, but he is already behind where Tatum was at the same time.

Durant was as efficient as Brunson

Sweet! Thought the Celtics had blown that game for sure, what a finish and shot from Tatum!

Plus Trae Young got an absolute thrashing from the Heat.

If the Bulls flame out, you have to wonder if LaVine bounces/does a sign and trade in free agency, especially if DeRozan continues to be Playoffs-DeRozan. Have to wonder if the Bulls wouldn't be looking more appealing mid to long term with Carter Jr and the pick that tuned out to Wagner (plus the 2023 pick) instead of Vucevic

Great play by Marcus Smart to have the patience to make that up to Tatum. Most guys would have shot that with the clock winding down and two guys running at him. Still think Nets will win the series but we need Boston to bloody them up!

And I hate to say it but kudos to Miami for shutting down that clown Trae. Spoelstra is the best coach in the league imo. Miami doesn't have the most talented roster on paper but they just play so hard, physical, gritty and know how to win. Spoesltra is that teams MVP.

But I'm good as long as the Nets and cHeat don't win!

Deep culture with Riles that goes back 25 years and an owner that delegated properly. His “Cult of personality” also stood the test of time. Not to say he did not have to adapt or go thru rebuilds but Riles was an very special circumstance that I doubt could have be replicated in NY for many reasons.

Im reading “blood in the garden” about the Knicks in the 90’s. Riles was freaking nuts! In a good way of course.

Think about how long he has Spolestra coach. No burn out? Very unusual. That he had his back thru the Lebron era was a clear demonstration of that culture being bigger than one player. Riles likely knew Lebron was never going to be long there even in his protest/frustration when he went back to Clev.

THey are far from perfect and have made many errors over his long tenure but Heat bounce back and remain interesting. I too respect them very much.

Surprised Pelicans gave them a game as they did but Suns were impressive!
Pels with Zion and plethora of picks have a bright future. Coach Willie really turned them around this year.

You're not alone.

Neither of you are alone. I'm trying to find a used Bill Russell jersey to wear while I listen to the Nits lose 4 straight on WFAN.

And Riley is the executive we hoped Phil would be.

My initiation years as a Knick fan included going to the Garden and watching Larry Bird get call after call but never getting called, while Bernard King made uncanny shots with three Boston hoodlums mugging him (no calls). We tested the hell out of them but could never quite get there. I despised the Celtics, but not in the way I do the Nets. Bird et al (and Jordan) benefited from a great organization that gave them great teammates and coaching, but there was no super friends ring chasing diva formula in place. And those guys left it all on the court. No suiting up just in time for the playoffs. Disgusting. (BTW I just looked up that the Nets have three first overall picks in Kyrie, Simmons, and Blake Griffin; and two second overall in KD and Lamarcus Aldridge. None of whom they originally drafted.)

Maybe a Kyrie Irving Celtics jersey would be the charm.

I've gone through most of my life truly believing Mike Jagger wrote "Winning Ugly" as a love song to Danny Ainge. 'I'm never wrong at all, I always fight the call...'

I'm praying Simmons makes it back onto the court just in time to step on KD's magic toe while running away from the ball while KD's trying to hit a game-winning three.

I don't do social media, so I'm not infringing on your copyright!

Let me know if anyone sends you any links to a Russell jersey!

Rooting for Boston was like out-of-body experience. Never thought I could do it.

Clean @ 4/18/2022 9:22 PM

I don't know what happened here but I do know I stopped watching early in the 1st. I can't watch the 76ers. All they do is shoot free throws.

Clean @ 4/18/2022 9:38 PM
Brunson looking much better today.
VDesai @ 4/18/2022 10:40 PM
Jeez if you dont want Jalen Brunson on the Knicks after tonight I guess you'll never be a fan of Jalen Brunson. Putting on a huge performance.
