So he’d be the second best pg on our roster?

Even when he scores he looks sloppy. Like he himself is surprised it went in.

People still thinking about this guy? We upgraded with our rookies. Have not thought about him since last season.

Garbage scrub draft bust player and toxic annoying cult.

I was gonna say the opposite, taking the self pass out of the equation, I thought he looked smooth, especially of off that Brunson pass. Frank, like most of the players in the league, look good when they're team offense isn't being commandeered by a turnover prone PF.

You're speaking of the Cult of Hate? Seems to me they're the ones who can't let go. Especially when they can't firmly decide who the new whipping boys will be.

who is the better NBA prospect? Deuce McBride or Frank Ntilikina?

(right now, as is)

2nd round pick vs. minimum tier free agent. Who do you prefer?

Deuce, but I'm irrationally high on him at the moment. Another steady game or two and I might put him over RJ.

I still don't know what RJ does well enough to consider him a high level prospect.

Pass?
Shoot?
Dribble?
Defend?

We are down to: He practices really hard?

He is really strong.

well its a less than ideal time to do the eye test. If it I was looking at his 2nd half last year I would say he's a big strong wing who can defend with a decent handle and can get hot from 3. Think Iggy but more of a bucket getter.

Its been a bad year. Lots of these guys have plenty to prove. I looking forward to how most of it plays out to be honest

The real worry is the team needs too make up it's mind soon on how much to sign him if they decide to extend him. After last year, I would've been OK with an $18-$20M per extension. Now, I'm not so sure. They have one more year to figure it out.

Iggy is probably his best comp. Jack of all trades, master of none.

THIS THREAD TITLE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED.

IT'S #FakeNews.

Frank the scrub/bust is not "BALLING".

14.7 minutes per game?
5.0 points per game?
1.6 rebounds per game?
1.5 assists per game?
0.8 steals per game?
0.1 blocks per game?
FG% of .347%?
3PT% of .317%?

A Player Efficiency Rating of only 9.9?

No. He's not "BALLING".

He's absolute trash.

Hard to argue with above and on top of all that he is a sluggish / mediocre athlete for the NBA.

He’s strong and he’s solid defensively with a very strong team first make-up (IMO) but shocking how sluggish he looks and my god how can you play so much ball - go #3 in the draft as a SF but you can’t go right.

Love this kid but dang his skill set looks stiff as hell much of the time.

Philc1 @ 12/27/2021 9:43 PM
The Frank haters now have a vacuum so they need to hate on RJ. Meanwhile if we had gotten the #1 pick overall in 2019 this entire forum would be in meltdown mode over Zion who can’t even get on the court

Usually, when you change jobs and the job you left doesn't see any value in you. It's a wake up call to perform better in your next job, vs your previous job. Also, Frank is in Euro heaven with Dallas, so I'm not surprised. Payton is also balling in phoenix, but he's in a roll off the bench where he can come in and perform with little expectations. NY is and always will be a harder place to perform for average players. You really have to be built for it, or NY media / fans / pressure will chew you up and spit you out. I'm glad these Ex Knickerbockers are playing well. Good for them. If we bring them back to the knicks, they will play like they did before they left.

So far we know Thibs & Randle are clueless of working with NBA PG ....
Thibs has got rid of some good PG during his NBA head-coaching career .. Nate, Rubio, Lavine, Rivers, plus Thibs were the number one reason a young D.Rose career stayed injury-prone in Chi-Town.
And Randle's creepy performance as a PF/PG has made a lot of PG performances look bad by being in their lineup, starting with Lou Williams, Alonzo Ball, Caruso, Bledsoe, Payton, Rivers, Smith, Frank, and now Kemba.

Phil Jackson drafted a young big defensive pass-first PG-Frank to put in a lineup alongside D.Rose leadership for NBA growth. And Mills/Perry kick D.Rose off the Knicks, and bench Frank for PG-Jack and SG Tim Hardaway to have a 29 win season.

The Knicks Roster since 2004 has always been 85% back-up players on the roster, we had head coaches that change the starter lineup 20 times out of 50 games. SMH
The Knicks fans expectation has always been high on all the Knicks players, but the Knicks mismanagement and decision-making could never get it right two seasons in a row, which made 90% of all the decent and star FA stay far away from the Knicks organization during each offseason.
And Thibs foolish action n decision-making on the Timberwolves had Thibs Banned from the NBA !!!

Exactly. Zion Williamson will go down as one of the top 5 biggest NBA BUSTS of All-Time due to his weight and lack of work ethic. He got paid $$$$ and then couldn't care less about ever playing again.

Knicks fans would be killing Zion right now and BEGGING for R.J. Barrett.

The only player I'd take over R.J. Barrett from that 1st round draft class is Ja Morant and maybe Darius Garland.

R.J. Barrett is going to develop into an NBA two way All-Star.
