right now probably, Grimes's value was def higher before though.
though food for thought I read DET took Grimes over 1st round pick offers from other teams.

Don't really blame them, they need players and also defensive minded guys.

And legit spacers. They have TOO many young guys, more draft picks ain't what is going to help them.

Grimes is a very good 2 way player. Just like Bogs and Burks, he needs time to jell, specially a mid season trade. Not everyone can be OG

You can’t look at grimes offense this year and say he’s a good 2-way player. He’s a good defender but has a long ways to go to be adequate offensively.
All things are definitely not ever even close to equal but all these guys played in the same magnitude range of minutes played for the Knicks for a guard'ish. I was surprised at the totals.
Deuce has obviously had the most sporadic of minutes. And he is signed and sealed at $5M.

WHat's most surprising to me is that Deuce and Q had equal assists. I had the impression that Q was generating more assists than Deuce does. Thanks for sharing this.

Yeah, that's one of the stats that stuck out for me and was kinda eye popping. McBride does have about 140+ more total minutes and that's fairly significant, but still...

His stats aren't going to "pop" just yet as he is getting comfortable in his role. He is having a phenomenal March. His Per36 splits basically have him at 20pts 3 assists, 1.5 steals. The eye test tells me (at least) that he is finding the game speed on offense and getting a bit more comfortable ballhandling in traffic. I thought he was in Steph Curry's head in a manner that other defenders haven't been able to. Curry hit some tough shots but he didn't really have an inch of breathing room. MM was breathing all over him. Eyepopping defense.
He really is blossoming before our eyes
No longer considered bullish, Deuce in full bull mode
Jesus Deuce is everything we had hoped Grimes would be and he’s on a 3 year $15m extension starting next year LOL

Jesus Deuce is quite a nickname. But I guess he has earned it.

He's been my Nvidia stock
I like it better when he was the underdog. But
G league Deuce is here to stay. Who said he can’t shoot? Anything he does on offense is a plus. I mean anything. So to score 23 in the first half? Wow. His confidence has blown through any ceiling anybody has put on him.
Leon is the man. Deuce always had this in him, just needed an opportunity. Good thing Thibs and Leon saw this in practice and locked him up before giving him 48 mins. deuce is that glue guy every team needs. The guard version of OG.

I wish I invested NVIDIA sooner, like I did with deuce. I have to say, I’m not surprised yet. To me he’s already shown this in college (mid range shoooter) and in gleague.
THE DEUCE IS LOOSE
Now we can make some noise with a top 3 two way Guard, to help JB on both ends.
His playmaking is where I see growth. And beating him man to the rim, off the dribble. That’s also an improvement. But Deuce is and always was a solid shooter and top notch man to man defender.

I am interested to see his growth as a ball handler with PG decision making at hand. Should be fun.
