I hope both sides can agree. He bleeds orange and blue. His 2 way unselfish aggressive style is so NY.

And he defends like a badass

I love deuce and glad he’s getting the recognition. But when he’s forced into rolls where he has to be the playmaker he gets into trouble. But with a full team, he can just focus on 3 & D, his impact is high.
Hes improved every year.

I’m glad you’ve come around to Deuce not really being a PG, cause that’s exactly where he struggles at the NBA level

Yeah the signs was there in college. They had to run a two PG lineup with Deuce. He was rarely the only PG starter. I did hope he would learn that position in the NBA but it’s clear he’s more comfortable as a 3rd string PG for emergencies. He just wants to shoot and play defense. I’m cool with that. Increases our chances to keep him long term.
we all want DDV back, but the crazy thing is Deuce has been a much better player this year, even scoring at a higher rate than DDV.

He’s currently better than DDV because of his defense alone. But I still wouldn’t mind bringing him back. Just not sure how to work him into the current rotation.

Fit is one thing. Another is salary. Deuce and Shamet provide nearly everything that DDV does at a fraction of the cost

Not sure what sparked it but he has been a new man since the middle of last season. When he started coming in with much more aggressiveness and a gunner mentality off the bench.
The aggressiveness has remained and his confidence must be at all times highs.
Really did not think he would be this good.
Compliments to blkexec for seeing it early.

I was looking at his character and similar defensive coach from college to Thibs. And what coach wouldn’t love a player who loves to play defense and coachable.
Where I may have been wrong? Is rushing him to play sooner. him and IQ are tough young confident players from the start, who could’ve learned earlier, But don’t want to start that old convo again. it all worked out for all the young Knicks under Thibs including grimes and RJ.
Happy for deuce to be the only one who stuck around. Next to Mitch, who I Still wish i made a deal with Mitch at lifetime gym in Dallas. To give me lifetime Knick seats, if you get drafted by the Knicks. That goofball would’ve honored that deal or even got me a few tickets at least.
THE DEUCE IS LOOSE
Free article, haven't read yet
If he is the best shooter in the NBA with 5 Seconds on the clock maybe he should be taking some of our last shots of the game, not only Brunson
and get him more three opps per game
More reason to find 5-8 minutes each half for Kolek.
I just hope we don't include Deuce if we trade Towns.
