Knicks · LEAVE JULIUS RANDLE ALONE! (page 11)

Salary cap situations are not exactly set in stone but it looks like only Detroit, Orlando, Spurs will have cap space to sign an UFA like Mitch.

I just don't see Mitch leaving unless it's an outsized payday sign and trade that also benefits the Knicks on the receiving end of things.

I don't see Mitch getting the same opportunity somewhere else, that he's getting in NY. And I agree that Randle had another good game. He should be measured by wins and not by stats. Its clear that Randle alone will not work and he needs to learn how to lead this team, by doing other things outside of scoring.

Disagree. Mitch will get run on ANY team. He will start on most. Fact is, Mitch's high energy, rebounding and rim protection game is a commodity. No matter how some Knick fans seem to ignore it. His age is also a big factor. Do not know if we can all put it on him for not developing other skills but maybe a different outside source can do a better job of developing those. Fact remains, guys like MR do not grow on trees. Really do hope we do not give up on the kid and he gets some decent money to stay.

Like grabbing 12 boards and getting 8 assists and leading the team in +/-?. I'll say it again; Randle is one scary mofo out there at times.

I hope somehow we keep Mitch and Noel. Noel playing seems to light a fire under Mitch's azz.
Was it me, or did Noel actually show some nice hands on that one layup?

The boxscore doesn't capture Mitch's complete impact on the game. He was a big reason why we came back and beat Boston...He had a big offensive rebound/tip-out that lead to a big 3 by Fournier to cut the lead in the 4th. Not to mention the alley-oop from RJ. His presence also cause some penetrated to change their shot at the rim....He covers-up a lot for us on both sides of the ball.

Fact also is, he's actually staying on the floor. And the bold is only fairly recently. I just keep praying something else doesn't break every time he falls on the floor.

How is Julius Randle "clearly too sensitive to play in NY"?

When...

A.) He had an All-Star 2020-2021 season.

&

B.) He's having an even better 2022-2023 All-Star campaign.

"Clearly too sensitive to play in NY" my ass.

Julius was a - 10 last night and Obi was a +12... I think that means Obi gave Julius 10 tissues to get him right and was left with 2

This is exactly why I can't take "+/-" serious.

Randle vs. Cleveland.
36 Points.
13 Rebounds.
4 Assists.
(6/7 from FT).
(8/12 from 3).

Vs.

Toppin vs. Cleveland.
11 Points.
3 Rebounds.
0 Assists.
(1/2 from FT).
(2/3 from 3).

Obi Toppin provided 10 minutes of spark off the bench vs. Cleveland but it's JULIUS RANDLE who led the Knicks to 37 minutes of winning basketball.
