Knicks · LEAVE JULIUS RANDLE ALONE! (page 4)

Julius Randle cursed @ and gave the thumbs down to a bunch of drunk SCUMBAGS. The same drunk NY SCUMBAGS who booed both Patrick Ewing and Derek Jeter. And those are not "fans"; those are nothing more than scumbags.
Julius Randle did not disrespect his true fans, supporters or MSG faithful; he disrespected those drunk SCUMBAGS who not only booed him but also Jeter & Ewing too.
There is a difference.
And if you're a drunk scumbag who ever booed Julius Randle? You don't deserve Julius Randle; you deserve...
Eddy Curry.
Beno Udrih.
Luc Longley.
Malik Rose.
Steve Francis.
Renaldo Balkman.
Michael Sweetney.
Andy Rautins.
Mardy Collins.
Cezary Trybanski.
Jerome James.
Mike Bibby.
Travis Knight.Etc.
It's one thing to expect greatness out of your players. It's one thing to criticize, critique and demand better. But it's another thing to BOO your best player and BOO the heart and soul of your team.
No real NY fan would ever nor could ever BOO Julius Randle/Patrick Ewing/Derek Jeter; only drunk SCUMBAGS looking to get shitfaced @ a game could ever do such a thing.
Who the F are you to call other people scumbags? Go check yourself in the mirror. Do you see Julius Randle's face? If not STFU about other fans that are doing what any fan has the right to do.

If you BOO Julius Randle? You're not a FAN you're a scumbag.
And for the one's who BOOOOED Patrick Ewing and Derek Jeter? They weren't "fans" they were nothing more than SCUMBAGS @ a game.
Because it takes a scumbag to boo the heart and soul of the team.
Julius Randle, during a season in which he has been largely bad, was part of a Knicks starting five that came out with a preseason level of effort, and it didn’t get much better throughout the half. Whether it was the early booing, the booing in the third after New York picked up its effort but saw Boston hit some tough shots, or whether this was more about some fans’ elated response to Randle entering protocols a week ago, what can’t be denied based on Randle’s actions and comments both tonight and on Wednesday is that he has taken the criticism to heart this season.
One can debate whether or not his gripe is justified, but what can’t be debated is the version of Randle we got as this game went on - the angry version who was getting to the rim at will and played like his life depended on it:
This is the version we’ve been waiting to see all year, and the complete and total absence of that player is what has prompted all the fan frustration in the first place.
Julius may think he’s Russell Crowe here, asking anyone within earshot “Are you not entertained,” but in reality he’s far closer to Commodus, confused as to why no one loves him when the answer has been staring at him in the mirror the whole time. The people he’s yelling at just want to watch someone who obviously cares as much as they do. That’s all any fan ever wants, good or bad, make or miss, win or lose.
We got that on Thursday night, and even if his performance over the rest of this season is predicated on a personal vendetta against those paying to see him play, we will respect it. Why? Because we’re New Yorkers. Why you’re “all in” means far less to us than the fact that you’re “all in” at all. Keep balling, keep yelling, and we’ll keep cheering. Nothing personal.

Fans also have the right to consider those who BOO Derek Jeter/Patrick Ewing and now Julius Randle as SCUMBAGS.

That's a false equivalence. Fans pay to see a product. Julius Randle would be nowhere without the fans indirectly paying his salary. When he is making the kind of money he makes much more is expected than what he has given the fans this year.
LAST YEAR DOES NOT MATTER ANYMORE. Fans gave Julius about a 25 games honeymoon. Now they want results.
blkexec wrote:Allanfan20 wrote:I was just going to take the time to praise Julius for his wonderful game last night. There was little to no shakiness handling the ball and he made good decisions. And then he decided to open his mouth. Some people just can’t control themselves.
So he’s wrong for going back at the fans? After he’s been constantly attacked by fans. So it’s ok to verbally hate him when he’s down, and love him when he’s up? He’s a human being like you and me. Sometimes we think nba players are robots and lacks emotions and shouldn’t be sensitive to feedback in this social media era.
I have no problems with his gesture. Thumbs down is similar to giving the middle finger to all his haters, who unfortunately are mostly knick fans. Let’s hope during the next home game these same boo birds will try and appreciate him more. Otherwise he’s gone and the next star player will make a last minute detour to brooklyn.
Just like u was going to show him love until he opened his mouth. Think about the potential star players who had the Knicks on their radar. They are saying the same thing as you. Until knick fans opened their mouth, I wanted to play for them. But knick fans don’t deserve it. We don’t know how to treat our own players. And this social media era where everybody is now a bully with a keyboard, is not helping.
The bold is the whole point of being a fan. You play well we cheer you play poorly and have a lack of effort we boo. It's pretty simple.
Listen to what Charles Barkley says in this video.

Serious question. Do they still paint mental institution walls green? You are really losing your shit over this. You seriously need to change your name to NYKarenMentality. You are not going to last here long if you keep calling posters scumbags. Maybe turn the volume down a little. The all caps bold screaming is a little over the top. It was a good win. Randle is emotional. Looks like 100M isn’t enough to motivate him to play hard. I hope he’s not a head case like you NYKMentalcase

LAST YEAR DOES NOT MATTER ANYMORE. Fans gave Julius about a 25 games honeymoon. Now they want results.
Last year does matter.
▪︎ Julius Randle last year did something that no NBA player has ever done dating back to Larry Birds MVP season of 1986.
▪︎ Julius Randle last year earned the NBAs Most Improved Player Award.
▪︎ Julius Randle last year made an All-NBA team.
▪︎ Julius Randle last year earned an All-Star selection.
▪︎ Julius Randle carried NYC on his back last year and led NY to the playoffs for the 1st time since 2012-2013.
And for any fan to say that "last year doesn't matter anymore" just goes to show me what types of oh so quickly you've already forgotten and/or love you while you're up before kicking you when you're types of fans this fan base has.
PS: It's not about just last year. It's about this year too. Knicks are 0-2 without Julius Randle and wouldn't even have 5-7 wins this year without him.
☆ 1st in minutes played (1,312).
☆ 1st in points scored (727).
☆ 1st in rebounds (373).
☆ 1st in assists (180).
☆ 1st in Defensive Win Share.
The Knicks would have no more than 5 wins without Julius Randle.
I'm sorry. But only a scumbag (looking to take his life frustrations after work out on a 27 year old kid) would ever boo Julius Randle. And yup. Only a scumbag could ever boo Patrick Ewing and Derek Jeter.
You say fans have the right to boo Julius Randle, Derek Jeter and Patrick Ewing? Ok. Fair enough.
Because as an NY fan it's also my right to consider them SCUMBAGS for doint so.

I never once called a single poster a scumbag (here on UK).
I called the one's who booed Patrick Ewing, Derek Jeter and now Julius Randle as being SCUMBAGS.

I disagree.
Derek Jeter had already led his Yankees team to 3 World Championships.
Patrick Ewing gave his heart and soul to NYC along with both his knees (on ice).
But yet they were still booed.
90% did not BOO Jeter/Ewing/Julius.
10% did.
Those 10% who boo? Are not "fans".

Bro, you are down to making up boo'ing rate stats to argue about who is a real fan or not.
It's your destiny man
blkexec wrote:Todays nba players are super sensitive and soft compared to Barkley and Ewing era.
I don't know if I can agree with that.
In the 80s and 90s etc social media was not around for those players to get attacked and mocked online.
If social media was around in the 80s and 90s? Guys like Ewing would've been attacked 24/7 for "failing to win a Championship" and I can almost guarantee you that #33 would've fired back in absolute disgust.
Players of today are scrutinized like players of yesterday had no idea about. And a lot of then wouldn't have been able to handle it (without firing back).

Fair enough man.
But do you believe Derek Jeter and PATRICK EWING deserved to be booed?
Just know that 90% of fans never booed Jeter and Ewing. Thankfully only maybe 10% did (and imo those were not "fans".

I think you may have been the most viscous here in your attacks against Evan Fournier— even hoping he got Covid. I guess you’re not a fan!
Julius Randle has not played so great this year. Knicks fans have been great with him for the most part. If they expressed some dissatisfaction year to date— that’s it! I think Julius Should say “ I get it” I’ve got to pick it up the best that I can. Telling the fans to f o is the wrong avenue.

Patrick Ewing. My childhood Knicks hero and legend didn't deserve that. It was disgusting. But to each our own.
PS: Maybe you can please do me a favor and lock this thread before it ends up getting me in trouble 🤣 I'd appreciate it a lot (and thanks in advance if so)
Let’s also remember Julius played the worst playoffs of any star play we have ever witnessed last year. He got destroyed and the fans gave the team a standing ovation.
He has been asleep and going through the motions all season. We are 9-11 on the home court this year, two of those losses are two the magic. Which is inexcusable. He got the big contract he’s the star. That’s part of being the man.
Big mistake last night and very foolish. Get down there and bang, your the strongest guy on the court most nights. Fans were tired of you dribbling out the clock snd making sloppy passes. Let your play do the talking.

No way man, you continue to put yourself in a spot to get piled on, then step 2 of getting piled on occurs. That's the sequence.
