Business as usually for the Knicks FO...
If it ain't a veteran pg in his last days...
A 3rd string pg in the G league or overseas...
A combo tweener draft pick that barely played pg in college.
Feels like the Knicks organization will NEVER make the PG position a priority, won't over pay in FA, won't use any of their assets to for a top pg, or and young PG on the market, and keep drafting bogus suppose defensive pg's that can't run a team
knicks1248 wrote:The bench is starting to really miss Rose because it's clear that IQ or GRIMES are not PG for more than a possession or 2.
When did you start to think Grimes was a PG? He is clearly a SG and has always been.
Like WTF dude

What's Rubio's recovery timetable? I'd wait until every option is exhausted before re-signing him. As for Schroeder...another one of Boston's broken toys? He's a backup. Good player but doesn't really move the needle.

You are always asking what particular player should we trade Mitch for, or in this case KEMBA
At this point during his frustrating journey with a troublesome left knee, Kemba Walker won’t make predictions or promises about his availability for every Knicks game over the remainder of the season.
This will not cut it, every game we have to wait for pre game warm up to determine his status, that's absolutely ridiculous.
At this point I would waive Kemba
OKC and Boston knew this and was like I want no parts of this guy, this is coming from a playoff contender and a lottery destine team.
Will any team trade for a guy who is going to be a game time decision on weather he plays for the rest of his contract.
How do you even prepare for teams not knowing if your starting pg will play until an hr before the game.

No it should be more like WTF LEON and PERRY....
You already have IQ and RJ and planned on resigning burks, so lets use our 1st rnd pick on another sg...
Then they used another potential 1st rnd pick to trade for another sg/sf in Cam Reddish...
Mean while you have zero reliable PG's....Tell me how this makes sense

Because rosters are not addressed 100% in one offseason. And Burks will not be around for long. Oh, and the Knicks did draft 2 PGs to go along with Rose/Kemba.
This is simple stuff man

Rubio will be 32. With knee surgery? Sound familiar? Both cant shoot. Dennis shot 33% with LA(A good team) and they did not think he was worth investing in? They have not worked for other teams but they will work here?

You are always quick to mention issues with our roster players. Yet you have NO solutions. You see, logically one would have to have a reasonable alternative to solve PROBLEM A. Or else you risk trading ONE perceived problem for ANOTHER larger ONE. If there is NO realistic alternative, what is the point of constantly bringing up the issue? Some would call it mindless whining. Kinda like guys complaining about how their wives are not supermodels yet they themselves look like Mister Magoo. Or like someone complaining about not being a Billionaire yet they never finished HS. This may give you some insight into why some on here take your takes so negatively. Nobody likes a whiner. Now if you post a realistic and smart alternative then you are considered knowledgeable. I also think that you are quick to judge our players without truly looking at their production, sample size, or what the realistic expectations were for them.
Meaning, it takes more than a few games and true knowledge of OTHER current NBA talent levels to see how guys like EF, Mitch, and Kemba match up. Meaning, how are our players REALLY playing in comparison and what are the ALTERNATIVES?
As for Kemba's knees. Did you expect anything different from his production? Do you think Rose expected a $9 Million dollar everyday 25 point scorer? Of course, most agree that it would be great to have a SOLID PG with no injury concerns. But again, who is out there that is A) better, B) available and C) presents good value for the Knicks in a trade?

1248 assumes if he does not know the answer, then neither does our FO.
I'll make some shit up here to defend our FO: Kemba took the offseason to get healthy and rehab. Perhaps he and his staff, along with knicks thougth he could hold up better than last year and if so can be a great inexpensive asset.
The 1248 vibe of this being beyond comprehension is a funny one.
Not sure if its exclusive to 1248 but the "Plug and play" notion that Lonzo would be good here is assumptive. He was a sign and trade. Lonzo does not shoot great and his strength is fast pace and push the ball. Uh oh, this is not what Thib or our roster is built for. EF is a better fit. Proof? Its all hypothetical actually. Bulls have better record so that must be it? Maybe so.
Derozen. he wanted to be in LA. he wanted big money. Not sure he was a good fit here. I like what he is doing, but here it would be different.

Think you missed my point. (Point was not literal) This is not about you making trade predictions. Do not think that is possible.
The first point was that you complain without understanding that there are no "Realistic" options. Therefore seen as whining.
The second point is that you seem to think everyone else out there is better than our guys. Are they? Who for instance is better than Kemba and available? (My original question)
Third point- Kemba is only making $9 million and yes Rose expected fewer games for that. (fyi, you stated as if it is fact that Kemba will only play 35 games this year? You do know he already played 25 right? And was available for another 9. There are 37 games left not including playoffs) But you are claiming it as a fact (Problem some have with you)

There are 37 games left not including playoffs) But you are claiming it as a fact (Problem some have with you)
Kyrie is one of my Favorite players to watch, never was a Nets, Boston or Cavs fan. I support his stance on his Vaccine preference.
BuT I am totally 100% against the NETS playing him on road games only.
When players are in and out of the line up every other game, thats just pure BS. I can't prepare my team properly if i don't if a key guy is playing or not.
One Day Thibs says we want to make sure he's good and ready when he comes back, he doesn't want it to have to be a game time decision every other game. the next day kemba comes back and says, no, it will be a game time decision base on how I'm feeling.
Availability is the best ability, we hear that every day.
With both Kyrie and kemba, i don't think thats fair to the guys thats coming in working hard, sacrificing, vaccinating.
Suppose 7 or 8 guys on the team said the same thing, im not getting vaccinated, or I'm only going to play when I'm a 100% healthy.
Whatever is best for the team
