First off I wouldn’t take any rumor Berman post as legitimate he probably made that up for click bait .
Knicks should be making calls about unloading EF, Burks, Kemba but don’t do anything stupid like take on a contract like CJ, Westbrook, wall. Let’s not panic EF and burks will have the same trade value they do now in the off season .
Although I’d love to see all of them gone at the deadline to make room for the youth . Let’s not get FU cked in the process.

nuts. maybe the knicks could have offered up better draft picks. too late now.
how about Sabonis... who's shooting like 58%, and gets you 19/12/5 a night on 12 FG attempts. Lets do the mirror test... if Sac can get THAT, WHY would they instead take Randle? WHY WHY WHY
Do YOU guys prefer Randle over Sabonis? How about RJ and Randle? would you do that?
I just see Randle Cook Sabonis damn near every game they play. He’s not head or tails above Randle and I would argue the Pacers are just as badly built a team as the Knicks are when it comes to fit. The only real different is Randle has been putting on a Marbury act all season once the trade rumors started and the Knicks never tried to check him.
no the difference is Sabonis is younger, holds the ball less and its much MUCH more eff% than Randle. Go look at Sabonis FG% and how many shots a game he takes vs. PPG and then look at Randle's and come back to me.
He also gets cooked all the time defensively and he can’t shoot. Randle is better, he’s just been becoming Marbury 2.0
That sentence is for Randle, right?
There are levels. When the Knicks play the pacers. Randle cooks Sabonis and shoots well on him. Randle has been on that Marbury attitude more than anything. He’s become a toxic goof

I made the mistake of clicking on the article. There's not even an anonymous source saying we're interested. It's literally going off of Thibs paying a compliment to Barnes before we played them...

FWIW, despite the drama, I thought Randle came out and played a pretty good game against LAL despite the loss. I have a lot of faith in him. People get upset at losing. I like that he is upset by the losing. I don't think Randle is the problem. Or Barrett. I think they both have a positive impact on the game even when they aren't having a good game. I they need another all star caliber player that can run with them. Fournier is not that guy. Neither is Kemba.
Jalke Fischer just said a lot about the Knicks in his halftime app show…….-Knicks were in on lavert at the 11th hour. Evan Fournier and a 1st was the deal!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Knicks are really open to trading Julius!!!!!!!!!
-teams say the Knicks don’t want to give up grimes,Deuce , Obi or iQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-says the the Knicks are one the most active teams and they will do something!!!!!!!!!!!!
-also praised Brock aller and said he will get something creative done!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s about it folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From the realgm board- I post it as at the start of last offseason, this Bleacher report writer appeared from nowhere and said everything that the Knicks were going to do. The fact he’s now praising Brock Aller for no reason indicates Brock is/was his source.
So thankful we didn’t trade a 1st for another iso player in Lavert

OK at least there is some good news about not giving up the youth and open to trading Randle. Can't wait until the deadline.

Trust and believe I know that Sabonis is a better and more stable player than Randle! My post was my initial reaction to seeing that Hali was available. I want to say I am shocked, but it's the Kings. Not saying the Kings didn't receive a good player, but Hali is 21, on a rookie contract and was the best pg on the team. Wish there was some way for us to get creative and get Hali here but it is what it is....
Can anyone make sense of this:
Why would the Pacers reach out when they’ve just traded for Haliburton and can’t trade Brogdon? Why would the Kings think about trading Fox now when they’ve just traded Hali?

I think they mean this year. These teams all reached out about Fox at one point or the other but they are not moving on from him after trading Haliburton.

I feel like you should share that with SacTown GM, it's not doing anything for the rest of us.

I’m just saying “levels” just like as bad as the Knicks are the Kings are worse… “Levels”
The knicks are now entering the panic stage og the trade deadline, after missing out on the trade with the kings and Portland, the knick are now focusing on Barnes. Feels like they are operating on reactionary mode just not to get caught empty handed after the deadline. Unless they trade Evan and burks for Barnes, this front ofgice will add on to the logjam at the wing.
Wish we could trade for Dragic. I don’t know if he just isn’t planning on playing anywhere except for a chip.
If Randle's value is really dropped so much then where do we go from here? He either picks up his play and we can trade him on draft night or his stock continues to plummet... yikes
Looks like Sac is entertaining a small fire sale - do they have any 1st round picks available to trade? If so - instead of Burks, Kemba and a pick going out for Barnes - what about calling it a season and doing Randle and Burks for Barnes, Bagley and their #1 pick? Pick would probably would have to be top 5 protected? They seem to be making weird decisions with the Haliburton trade today when most thought Fox would be the one traded if any PG were to move.
I maybe reaching a bit but I'm betting that we don't have a second half resurgence like last year (when Rose led us to playoffs) and Randle's value will still be low or lower going into offseason. We could still use the rest of the season to see what the young players have which would ensure a decent draft pick even with them giving their full effort. Maybe Bagley shows something - but he expires if not. Barnes is only signed for next season and is serviceable - he could play some 3/4 while Toppin figures out if he can play a position on the Knicks.
We would now have an extra #1 pick to use to land a PG this offseason. Sacrificing Dallas's #1 for a Brunson would still leave us with 2 first rounders to use or trade/package for the future.
Thibs may quit but we would pick up the pace, spread the floor more and figure out how to move the ball consistently.
And I know it will never happen...

He can't be much better than Kemba? Dude can't even get minutes on his own playoff bound team

I think that was mutual though right ? Shutdown similar to wall.

I guess I get the Wall situation, but Dragic? Playoff bound team decided backup PG spot wasn't important enough?
The Haliburton trade is from the same team that chose Bagley over Luka (and Trae and JJJ). it's also where our GM came from. so that explains a lot to me at least
i would have supported Levert or Fox. Not cartwheels-down-the-hall level of support but i could have seen upside. CJ i like but was not a fit and am glad he went elsewhere. I liked Barnes like 4 or 5 years ago. not now
and i'm not on the Sabonis band wagon. I am sure i would like him if he were on my team but i get about as excited for him as i did for David Lee.
Julius is the enigma. When we got him i didn't want him. The book was short arms, no vertical, bad BBIQ. all of which are true. But then last year he re-appeared as truly one of the best players in the league. then some short punk kicked him in the nuts in the playoffs, he choked, lost any swagger he had, and he's now back to 2020 or 2019 Randle but now with a dark cloud all around him. i held out hope that some team would value him some place in between hoping to recapture last year's magic when transferred to a new venue. SOmeohow i picture Dallas. He's from there. SOme deal where we send Randle and end up with Fox.
at this point i just want us to be disciplined. No trade is better than a bad trade. There's nothing transformative on the trade market. At this point we'd be better doing some 2 for 1 if we could to maybe get a marginally better player and to free up some minutes. Have to imagine some contending team might see pieces on our roster who could help --eg Noel if healthy, Burks or EF. FOr some reason i could see the Jazz wanting Noel and Burks but for what in return that would match?
Think back to the Reddish trade a little while back. What rumors were there? None. All the click bait stuff is just that. Total bs.
