Good trade for the Cavs...LeVert will give them the scoring punch in the backcourt that they've been missing with Sexton and Rubio out of the line up.

Disagree that its a 2 player draft. Jabari Smith is definitely in the 1st tier.

I have a strong feeling there won't be anymore trades involving the knicks through Thursday. The knicks are getting ready to buckle down and just to live or die with Randle, Burkes, Evan and kemba. Maybe thibs is just banking on Drose's return to make the team more watchable the rest of the year.
sounds like a Post rumor
Put Randle on a team like Denver, Atlanta or Portland where he plays as a 3rd option around other vets and he will most likely play to his potential. That's a great role for him IMO. While I would love to move him for Fox - I think we would have already heard more smoke by now - with the deadline being only 4 days away.
You might be right. i was thinking Sac might be holding out for a bigger move like Simmons and Knicks are the backup plan

looks like a great move for Cavs. gives them a player they really don't have at the moment too
Bye Bye Sexton. they didn't give up that comp for a 6th man

Man they got Chris levert for a bag of peanuts lotto protected first and a expiring contract that is injured for the year … why the hell can’t we pull off a move like that.

You don’t want Lavert. Streaky undisciplined player. Indy can’t stand him. He’ll be fine for this year. Sexton is undersized and coming off the ACL. They could bring him back and then move him. He is not a PG and thus we dont need him. Put Brunson on the floor and watch how nice life is for Randle and EF.

Knicks just traded for a player that has a higher potential ceiling than Levert, didn't cost us a $19M dead contact, and we only traded a top 18 protected pick and the dead weight expiring contract of Kev Knox?
smackeddog@ 2/7/2022 4:50 AM
Hornets seem to want to trade PJ Washington- would love to get him if we ended up trading Randle away.
Think the most likely deal though will be PJ Washington and Plumlee (and either a pick or Bouknight) for Miles Turner
Shame, as if we ended up trading Randle for Fox, a front court of Miles Turner and PJ Washington might be nice and make up for Fox's poor shooting, plus would give lots of space for RJ and Fox to operate in the paint

I thought that too uptown but now I think he’s a top 5 pick( he also has some Joe Smith vibes). It will be a pick between ivey and holmgren. Right now I have ivey ahead by a sliver

Pistons interested in Mitchell Robinson
One note worth keeping in mind with Robinson: The Detroit Pistons are among the teams who’ve had a degree of interest in the 23-year-old, per SNY sources. Robinson would fit the team’s desire to find players on the same timeline as rookie Cade Cunningham. It’s unknown if Detroit would pursue Robinson via trade or if the club would only consider him if/when he hits free agency. – via SportsNet New York Top Rumors, Trade,
Kelly Onlnyk and 2nd rnd pick
kemba and Mitch

Knicks essentially flushed a first down the toilet.
Nothing more.
Would have rather used a first to clear Kemba or Fournier in a deal.

I don’t really see the hype in holmgren he looks like a mix of a slow KP and Shawn Bradley. Sloppy mechanics and handle he’s a injury waiting to happen with that frame, He’s going to get pushed around like a rag doll in the nba. He’ll go down as a great college player that couldn’t make the NBA transition when playing vs the best players in the world. Unless he gains a good 40+ lbs and works religiously on his mechanics I’m calling bust.

You should apply the info to yourself, you seem to knock every ones trade idea, especially if concerns a player the knicks drafted.
Took you 4 yrs to finally hop off the frank wagon

For the life of me can't forget the hype by some here about BOL BOL and it was so eveident his level of athletic abilty was low. Still he got a chance. He fell beause he was hurt, he got hurt because of his body. Chet looks animic or worse. NBA is still looking for the next big fundamental unicorn. I get he comes out on potential and he gets the money. HE should wait adn let that body mature. That game vs. BYU. Im sure Scouts have matchups in mind that will test his meddle and ability to deal with big strong fast players. Good release on his shot, and fundamentals look good. Imagine him trying to guard Randle. He break the kid.

You hanging your hat on thinking the Knicks would trade Mitch for Onlynyk and a second round pick?
This is the scope of your thought process?
Why?
