when his role was SG or just G, if he was open he shot, and personally i liked those odds. He can play pg but it's not playing to his strengths. and even when he's SG or G it's not like he's selfish

he and Burks have both been affected by Rose's absence

The whole team has suffered too because of it. And lack of production from Kemba

actually let's go to the root cause which was the failure of the front office to properly address the PG position in the off season.

Signing Kemba, Rose & Fournier was a mistake. There was a whole lot of wishful thinking with those moves.

I don't have a problem with Rose & Kemba, but there should have been an effort to find another PG that could fill in, other than Burks or IQ. Heck, had they kept Payton things might be better. My favorite trash player Mudiay is still available. Langston Galloway was out there.

or they can actually give McBride a chance. 1 or 2 bad games after coming back from COVID and his chances were done for the season. Chances that he would have never got if it was not for COVID in the 1st place.

drafting has been horrendous

No we are just that bad at Developing, we draft players and try and change there position.

What about RJ, Mitch and Grimes development? You can't have it both ways.

RJ is not trying to be made into a PF, and he came in as a top prospect...his game is suited for every system in the NBA

Grimes is not a RISING STAR, but he has a lot of potential

Mitch is a 2nd round pick That's been avg the same numbers for 4 seasons and his game has not expand.

Some of you probably forgot but IQ shot horrible in Summer League

I agree that we should be giving McBride more time. I seem to recall thinking he was exposed a bit in one of his last games - but yea, let him play through some mistakes, it's not like the options are better with anyone on the current roster.

bold is what it boils down to

Knicks are loaded with guys who are in the bottom of the league at the 1st fundamental necessity of a BBALL player

put the ball in the basket
