Tommy......He could have NOT opted out and taken the money.
Those tweets get read but have some objectivity!

Who is melo sitting next to? Leons nephew? Tampering?
Melo like "I got next"!
Little Melo looks like a young colt with legs not working yet. Jrod, relax, thats a compliment!
He looks very young still (he is). Fun to see these kids of NBA players!
Have to say it........Kyan looking good but that's an empty arena! LOL
(yes, he is only 15! 6'3! he needs one more spurt)
This means no sign and trade right?

First Theo, now Taj. This franchise doesn't deserve nice things.

No way this is permanent.
Not to mention he’s just entering his prime.

I don't think this is a Theo situation. This needed to happen for cap purposes if we are not doing a sign and trade. If I remember correctly Taj was going to re-sign with us for a smaller amount until we got extra cap space and was able to give him a bigger contract last season. He might be willing to come back on a smaller contract since we took care of him in the past and will again in the future.

It could still happen but the Mavs are paying

They can resign him to the room exception. Though honestly there might be better players willing to take that….

Wow, he's really gone this time
With Taj now gone that opens up a roster spot for Melo.
Taj was a real good Knick.

He's working undercover to get us that protected pick.

Damn, took this resigning for granted.
Enjoy, Portland.
Our contracts are looking better and better.
Taj wants to play, good for him. He got a great run here and now Wiz offered a rotational role cuz KP will break.
If Not, he’ll bust his ass. Taj got Perrys back on this!
Once a knick……….
Some of these teams are soooo dumb!

Why does Orlando extend him now? 2 Extra years at 35/36 and still 3 years away and a guy that missed almost all last year. That feels like worse deal I’ve seen.
Also with Harden having to take 2years and $30m range —- makes me wonder how many future $$$ has Harden blown with his lazy attitude & being out of shape when you see Dame extending 3-years from now at 2x what Harden may make this year.
And how much does Dame care about winning when he’s going dominate Portlands cap at 35/36 years old? Dame gets big free pass around the league but to me he doesn’t make teammates better and glad we didn’t sell farm for him.
God luck Portland. This is THE worse contract I've ever seen and that's saying a lot.
Horrible, horrible.

I just realized the extension is until 2027… They are a crap team.
