A lot of good info in here. We might be getting more assets from this sign and trade with the Mavs. We don't need to do a sign and trade so we have all the leverage. IF the Mavs want that TPE they will have to give us a 2nd rounder pick or 2.
Also that we want to extend RJ. The real info from the RJ part is that they don't want to pay him the max. If you read between the lines when he says a number that is comfortable to both sides. Everything sounds good to me.

His athleticism is such that he shoots 72.2 percent for his career and has blocked 7.7 percent of opponent shots in that time, making him an ideal candidate for the shot-blocker/rim-runner role.So what’s the hold-up? There’s some concern that Robinson has bulked up too much (playing last year at 270 pounds) and that it’s taken away some of the bounciness that had been his best attribute. No worries. They will amend that after they actually sign. They will have over paid Brunson (even though a $100 mil contract was predicted) and overpaid an injury prone center.
I'll check again in another week or so to make sure he doesn't change Brunson's valuation to $20M and and Mitchell's to $11M.

yeah man phuck em... I have never felt so good about the direction of the team. They have publicly said their player development is the most important thing and they really showed that this offseason IMO.
They add Brunson who's ceiling and defensive limitations I have openly complained about. HOWEVER he's the perfect "vet" at 26 years old. He's a coaches dream because he plays and works so hard and truly does the little things that build chemistry and lead to winning. JVG and Derrick Harper going out of their way to say "youre gonna love this guy" should say something. I really think he can do be the kind of player Lowry was for Toronto. We will need more to advance in the playoffs but this guy is a good start and a great mentor/example for the young squad
With RJ/Mitch/IQ/Obi/Grimes/Hart all 24 or under to start the season at least 60% of the rotation is really young rounded out with Brunson (26 kinda young), Randle (28 meh), Fournier and Rose (30+ crowd) the rest of the rotation isnt exactly gimpy

For Kemba and Duren to get to Detroit, the OKC-CHA portion of trade had to also go through. Dieng has already played in SL in fact, so that portion was completed on draft night.

I'd have to grade this FA a B if Taj becomes a casualty. Tampering nonsense aside, it's really in the Mavs best interest to get a sign and trade done. They need another guy who can create and it's ridiculous to expect Hardy and Tyler Dorsey to fill the void next season. They also need us to get rid of that first round draft pick protection. It's entertaining when Cubes goes into his Shark Tank persona, but prudent business demands that he just relax and let it happen.

I will play devil’s advocate and say the Knicks did trade out the draft for cap space but were shrewd enough to come away with additional draft pick trade assets to use later. It is highly unlikely the Knicks will draft any of those draft picks they got.
The Knicks FO are Graded a C- minus for their decision making in the offseason on July 7th.
Hope they are not finish making moves .. the tandem of Randle & Barrett are still suspect to failure in the starter lineup.

Signing a FA combo-guard (Brunson) to twice the $$$ his talent's are worth to be the starter PG.

IF your doing the grading, we’d come to expect nothing but that grade. At the same time you have no metric to defend the grade other.
