The biggest disappointment about Houston is that he signed the big deal, had knee surgery, and never was the same again.
The second most disappointing thing was that he was a little less good at basketball compared to Ray Allen. Houston was an excellent player, but Allen did literally everything slightly better.

Thought Houston was a solid Knick and gave us many memorable moments. Frustrating for him and the fans that he got hurt and couldn't return to form. Always preferred Spree back then as Spree played better defense and with more fire/intensity... but let's not forget that Houston had that buttery smooth jumper and he put up 53 vs the Lakers!

I don't see the Lakers doing 2 firsts to get out from Westbrook- I think one (2027) is fair (I don't see how Fournier is considered a bad contract, but Buddy Hield's seems to be toughed as being worth a 1st rounder!) for Miles Turner and Hield.
What would you rather do as the Lakers if the price was the same: Westbrook plus whatever picks for Kyrie and Harris (higher risk higher reward), or the Pacer deal of Miles Turner and Hield? (lower risk, but nice enough reward). I'd rather go for Kyrie if I were them, but the Pacers deal would be a pretty good plan B (but only for one 1st).
I don't see them going for Randle and Fournier/ Rose whatever, though I'd do it for one first rounder if we trade for D-Mitch.

We absolutely have already tried to get rid of Randle and/or Fournier via Westbrook’s expiring contract. It is not happening. The lakers know Randle too well and Fournier is Malik Monk with a bad contract

I vividly remember Reggie's televised statement at the time while he was holding out on the Pacers for more money. Something along the lines "I am the best, well okay, the second best shooting guard in the NBA and I should be paid accordingly." By October teams had made their FA signing decisions, so Reggie lost any negotiating leverage with the Pacers, except going on strike like he did. Some home town discount.

Also, and Its not covered in the article but from what I recall knicks flew out to see H20 and basically it was if he don’t sign it they going to see Reggie next and pay him. I don’t have that. Reggie played his hand as he did.

Not sure this is a good idea for the Celtics, but now it’s been leaked it’s just p-ing off Jaylen Brown even more. Would probably be an okay return for the Nets though

Jaylen been part of rumors before. Got two more years on his deal at 26 and 27mil. Just stay healthy and keep balling and it all will take care of itself either in Boston or Brooklyn. He might actually want this. Its a business.
