I read somewhere that the Hornets never rescinded Miles Bridges QO. Anyone hear that from a reliable source?

Yep, I read it too and like you forgot where, but it was definitely a legit source

Ha! He'd joked that this is what Rose should do a few days ago

Weird, I looked up that very exact thing earlier today and couldn’t find reference to it. Miles has court date later this week and I’d think team would wait to see how it unfolds first before rescinding.

The deadline for the Hornets to rescind already passed.

Bridges' court date is set for July 20th which is exactly one week after the "deadline" for the Hornets to pull the offer. The Hornets can rescind the qualifying offer after July 13th but Bridges would have to agree to it. That said, who knows if a decision will be made in the next two weeks because there's no telling when this situation in court will be completely resolved

Report: Hornets Didn't Pull Miles Bridges' Qualifying Contract Offer Following Arrest

The Charlotte Hornets didn't pull Miles Bridges' qualifying offer prior to the July 13 deadline, according to NBA insider Marc Stein.

As a result, Bridges remains a restricted free agent and will earn $7.9 million for the 2022-23 NBA season if he signs the one-year tender.

The 24-year-old was arrested June 29 in Los Angeles and charged with felony domestic violence.

In a since-deleted post on Instagram, Bridges' wife, Mychelle Johnson, shared photos of injuries she said she sustained during the alleged altercation with Bridges.

"I won't allow the people around him to continue to silence me and continue to lie to protect this person," she wrote. "It's unethical, it's immoral, it's truly sick. It hurts my heart because I've always had hope, and so much love and as scary as this is for me to do it's time I stand up for myself."

Johnson and Bridges have two children together. In her post, Johnson also uploaded video of their son explaining what happened during the alleged attack.

Having posted a $130,000 bond, Bridges is due in court Wednesday.

The Hornets issued a statement regarding the matter on June 30: "The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation involving Miles Bridges. We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time."

Bridges' arrest came as he was poised to sign a sizable contract in free agency. The Athletic's Shams Charania reported June 20 that Bridges was expected "to command a maximum — or near-max — deal in July."

The 6'6" forward averaged 20.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists while shooting 49.1 percent from the field in 2021-22.

Felony charges filed against Charlotte Hornets' Miles Bridges for domestic violence, child abuse

LOS ANGELES -- Charlotte Hornets restricted free agent Miles Bridges is facing three felony domestic violence charges after being accused of assaulting his girlfriend in front of their two children last month, the Los Angeles County district attorney said Tuesday.

District Attorney George Gascon said his office filed one felony count of injuring a child's parent and two felony counts of child abuse under circumstances or conditions likely to cause great bodily injury or death. According to the DA's release, the case "includes an allegation of causing great bodily injury on the domestic violence victim." The DA's release noted that the children were present for the alleged assault but did not otherwise specify what the child abuse counts stemmed from.

Bridges is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

"Domestic violence creates physical, mental and emotional trauma that has a lasting impact on survivors," Gascon said. "Children who witness family violence are especially vulnerable and the impact on them is immeasurable."

Bridges was arrested June 29 by Los Angeles police and was later released on $130,000 bond.

The Hornets and the NBA both said they were aware of the charges filed against Bridges, with the league noting it is investigating the allegations.

"These are very serious charges that we will continue to monitor,'' the Hornets said. "As this is a legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time.''

Bridges' agent, Rich Paul, could not immediately be reached by The Associated Press for comment on Tuesday night.

Mychelle Johnson, the mother of Bridges' two young children, posted several pictures on Instagram on July 1 of what appeared to be injuries and a medical report that read "adult victim of physical abuse by male partner; Assault by strangulation, Brain concussion; Closed fracture of nasal bone; Contusion of rib; Multiple bruises; Strain of neck muscle."

She did not mention Bridges by name but wrote on Instagram: "I hate that it has come to this but I can't be silent anymore. I've allowed someone to destroy my home, abuse me in every way possible and traumatize our kids for life. I have nothing to prove to the world, but I won't allow anyone who could do something so horrible to have no remorse and paint a picture of something I'm not. I won't allow the people around him to continue to silence me and continue to lie to protect this person."

The LAPD said at the time of Bridges' arrest that it does not release police reports on domestic violence arrests. The case remains under investigation by the West Los Angeles branch of the LAPD.

The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Bridges was the Hornets' leading scorer last season, his fourth in the NBA. The Hornets had extended Bridges a qualifying offer prior to his arrest, which allows them a chance to match any offer sheet made by another team.

Are all these runs basically one-on-one games? I would hate playing in these games.

Knicks @ Bucks on MSG right now. A little rewind action.

Dolan does not get enough credit for how many former players he looks out for. Every time I see the old guys I smile. Especially Houston, Starks and Sprewell.

Good to see Trevor Keels in the blue shirt. Man, never realized how big Herb Williams is because he was always next to Pat. Glad to see the guys still looking good and healthy. Even Charles Smith!

With Allan Houston being my favorite Knick I thought I would drop this also.

Overall a disappointment for me. He had that last-second layup to oust Miami, a winning game 7 for a depleted team the season before, plus a couple of solid games against Jalen Rose of Indiana. But lacked the dominating killer streak one needs to carry a team to a championship.

We would have gotten a couple of chips for Patrick had we somehow cajoled Reggie Miller instead of Allan into joining us in the summer of 1996.
