Yes - he looks stronger/bigger but not sure I like that.
Historically I’ve always felt guys played best when they come in with less weight and lean/mean if you will like Pat Riley conditioned teams.
If anything RJ needs more finesse/fluidity to his game not bulk but what the hell do I know.
Hopefully whatever he’s done is great for his game.
Maybe he has worked on being fluid and graceful but the more productive route is to be stronger and more imposing. Different ways to beat different opponents. RJ was terrible finishing from close range last year maybe the increased strength will help down low and in finishing. Maybe he doesn't have the spring and explosion so the strength to battle is what he needs. Have to work with what you have and not everyone can turn themselves into what they are not
He will never be a slim type player. I look at Pippen or Kawhi as a comparison for RJ.

Because that’s exactly what he is and why we should be running a smaller lineup featuring him in that role
One thing I was taught when I used to play Ball is to practice your free throws after sprints. It's more realistic for you to be shooting them while tired, out of breath and with your heart pumping hard in your chest.
https://www.si.com/nba/mavericks/news/da...Cube talking up Frank to step up. He played about 11min a game thru the season and shot pretty good.
He gets a shot. It should be interesting. He just turned 24 in July.
I don’t think he ever becomes the offensive juggernaut one could hope but next to Luka he can make some plays, defer without insult, and if open can hit the shot. His Defense is his influence. We’ll see if he improved enought to earn a multi year deal.
I don’t remember really anyones take on him except for PHilC who I thought said “he’ll never play again the NBA” when we let himwalk. Said it like he was the voice of authority and knowledge.
Well, the kid gets yet another shot at it. Hard to fathom he is starting his 6th year and just turned 24! I recon under jason Kidd he is getting the type of coaching that could elevate him. There is no “I told you so” here. He had 4 years and he did not play up to his contract. Logistically it was time for him and knicks to move on. I don’t need ex players to fail to validate an opinion or that the knicks did the right thing. They did in that moment.
I’m an adult. I can root for ex-knicks to succeed because as a fan I followed them and their stories when here. My dream was knicks and Dallas face each other in the finals. The MaverKnicks with KP vs the best team in the East. Never to be. It would have been fun!

I'll remind you my take. Frankie needs a system to excel in. Not the one-on-one "break your man down with help from a pick and then drive to the basket" offense we run. ( Ideal for Brunson tho) So in Dallas Frank can play off the ball on O
I wonder what role Kyrie plays in this? they figure an extension? There a trade outline that keeps them contending without him?
Bill Simmons has a good podcast on his take. That he spend one season in Seattle, then 8 in OKC with Westbrook. Y'all seen what its like to play with Westbrook the last 6 years? in 2016 there was not great choices and by far the best basketball wise was GSW and he was incredible. Fans of course tilt to the hate of joining a great team. He made a ton of money in tech and had big city experiences.
Then he hooks up with Kyrie and wants to lead his own band. Take away the hate its an interesting view. They are not selling it, it was just different than the what we come to think of his decisions. He does not let him off the hook and does call out KD for being miserable.
Now this statement they are not trading him. very interesting stuff.
Maybe Nash steps down? Maybe he wants to? MDA steps in? Maybe Sean Marks throws Deandre Jordan in his face and reminds him of choices given? They could have had Allen instead??
Does this announcement make Dolan make Leon give Utah what it wants? Can he help himself?

He does need more fluidity if he is playing SG. If playing SF, needs more power. He seems to be going towards bully ball.
I would just like to say **** Danny Ainge.
No reason in particular, just **** you, Danny.
****. You.
We really need the Knicks to be good. The MSG crowd is unmatched when they have a consistent winner.

If the trade doesn't happen I think he did us a favor.
He could not even make it through the summer injury free. I would never draft super skinny extremely tall guys. Once and awhile a star will come but the success percentage seems very low.

Looks like another tank year and high pick for OKC.
Phil told us to never draft a small butt big! NBA is smitten with 7 plus unicorns.
Good luck to him. I hope it’s a fluke and not a sign of things to come.
I’m glad I’m not an OKC fan. Watching him play would give me nothing but anxiety.

Can you try to make sense?
