I am a sucker for a good redemption arc. If he comes back with a positive demeanor, plays with effort and plays team ball I will back him.

Ditto. As much as I’d like to see the young guys take another step, the #1 thing I’d like to see this season is Julius win back his critics.

If that happens, we can finish anywhere in the standings.

Perhaps there was not any legal wrongdoing that could he could be indicted for, as he did not venture into the dark levels of Donald Sterling.
$10mil fine for being an asshole is still a steep price.
Question becomes going forward does his partners find his actions deplorable enough to enact a movement for him to sell or not be the governor of the franchise.
Does the players and coach had enough of him? Behind the scenes has he mended fences or is there tension?

Sterling had a long history of racism in his business practices as well, Server has a long history of being an asshole. Seems like 10 million is a huge fine for being an asshole.

Most people would have been fired long ago for this, I don't think being rich and powerful should mean you get to be held to a different basic standard at work. Feel bad for Suns players who'll now have to deal with the aftermath of this while Sarver gets to hide. I guess an extra part of the punishment is now Sarver is likely vulnerable to law suites by female employees. Still its chump change for him and he'll more than make back the money when he sells the team.

The bball media were so fixated on Dolan they've completely failed to properly hold other owners like Sarver and Cuban to account- the way Cuban is given a pass every time is ridiculous

Cuban, like Dolan might have stood by and not responded as he should. The details are murky.
We judge harsh on things we don’t. Sarver is not as wealthy as others and owns about 35% of the team. He is the teams largest shareholder. His partners could find cause to oust him.
Thus if the civil lawsuits start to pile up its a problem becuase the team pays. Not sure about his personal liabilty here.
Sterling I believe owned the team with his wife.
How Sarver was with his players and staff matters. Chris Paul has played for both. It was clear the Clipper players were not down with Sterling. This seems different. Can’t say they are all too thrilled but its different. How? Im not sure.
It was reported on five occasions he dropped the N-word but in reference to someone else using it. Danny Ferry was fired for reading a report from someone else scouting report using a derogatory term. It makes others uncomfortable.

True, Sarver if he was GM and was outed for what he did he would be fired. Can’t fire an owner. But suspension for a year and Ten mil is no joke to him. For Dolan it would be.
Stienbrenner did all kinds of fucked up stuff and got a 2 year suspension but never forced to sell.

LIke I said, he now has to deal with Civil suits and his partners. Perhaps they buy him out.

The stuff Sterling had done as a slumlord to include discriminatory practices way more troubling than stupid stuff he said in private to some gold digger

He showed a lot of energy and aggression on the SL team. Looked way better than whatshisname from Duke. He seemed like shorter wing, around 6'6". Wouldn't mind if they brought in some combo forwards.

He’s right this is when the Knicks sign and release guys to pay them better for their G league team. Odds are they will do this for a few guys.

$10 million is what he made in interest on one of his accounts in the Caymans yesterday
