he's going to be really good on offense. I think we all agree on that. I think the big question will be does that elevate the other players in any way. Is he a lead guard, a floor general or the preferred combo of both?

Brunson is a sniper from the corner (.503) that makes him a really valuable spot up player when Randle is pounding the ball around

that is up to Thibs. I still have bias about him being a defense only coach- and I know that is wrong.

So - hoping to see what Brunson can do with Mitchell Robinson- because you put Brunson and Robinson together and you have- if they can run it right- an unstoppable basket every time.

I think the last thing I want to see is Brunson camped stationary in the corner, like Obi was so often, waiting for Randle to either force up a horrible shot, turn it over, or look to get bailed out by trying to pass it out of a triple team.

The best part of that stat is how many games he has been able to play the last two years! Hope the durability continues. I have to imagine his numbers will improve as the main guy.

I might be wrong, but I feel like the weapons he will have here are better than what he had in Dallas, if you take Luka out- which I realize you can't.

As I have mentioned before, Brunson likes the ball in his hands. A lot. One of my biggest apprehensions in seeing his fit with Randle and RJ. Hope Knick fans have watched him play in Dallas and are not expecting Chris Paul. Admit that some of his playoff games have me thinking he can surprise me and be that but watching him through out the year have me believing he is a better Ray Felton that holds the ball more. Hoping that, with his talked about work ethic, he may become a version of the former.

JB pretty much as I expected. But surprised that, right now, Randle seems to be a more willing passer than RJ. RJ and JB have to get rid of some of the tunnel vision when around the basket. Yet to see a kick out from Brunson once he goes to the basket.

Randle has adapted. He ain't gonna bowl any of us over with top line D all the time, but he has changed his game, and his game had the most to change, especially in comparison to RJ. I hate Randle as a #1 on a team but think he'd be ok as a #3 or #4 best player on team. He is talented, he just gets in ruts and outside of Jalen, there is no one else to bail him out give or take.

I think RJ is limited, and I don't necessarily mean that as a dig, it's just who he has turned out to be.

I think over the next year there will be a mini evolution of Brunson too. It's a process: first he needs to establish for himself and the team that he can get buckets in the way we have seen from him. Guys need to know how to feed off of that through movement and cutting at the right time so they don't also get in his way. We saw some ultra nice examples of that from Grimes especially; he just knows when and how to move all by himself, I suspect other guys need to be taught this to some degree. It'll happen, can't wait for it.
