Knicks · [Game Thread] 10/19/22 Season Opener @ Grizzlies (page 17)

The way Hart is playing, Mitch shouldnt assume that the starting job will remain his, because of his new deal. Hart is showing the value of a midrange jumper. Demonstrated that he can still put pts on the board when his 3pter is off.
Uptown @ 10/19/2022 10:33 PM
Cam always had this in him, his issue has been consistency. Wouldn't mind Grimes taking his time coming back so Cam can get an extended look...
MaTT4281 @ 10/19/2022 10:34 PM
Not even mad at this one. Put up a fight on the road, despite stinkers from RJ, Mitch, and Quick.

I think it'll be a good year, but guys have work to do.

Grimes gonna take RJs minutes away

If Cam keeps this up IQ is going to fall behind Grimes and Cam. I think Heart, Randal, RJ, Cam, and Brunson will play a lot together. I can see Mitch, Obi, Evan, Grimes, and Rose being mob deep. IQ better be more unselfish

Clean @ 10/19/2022 10:39 PM
On Hart, I like him but he just needs some tweaks on defense. Stop reaching and stop trying to block everything. His goal should be to make the defender shoot a hard shot. Shooting a hard shot is a lower percentage than them making 2 free throws.

THIS GAME!?!

Bro just can’t shoot. He is bball version of Chuck Knoblauch.

That contract looks horrendous

RJ got me in my feelings tonight but I will hold off judgment on that for now. He was shooting too well for that to just be a fluke in the preseason. preseason or not 3's are 3's.

I’d consider starting Cam at SF going forward

He’s in a contract year and very eager to earn that big contract. Let him.

Alpha1971 @ 10/19/2022 10:43 PM
RJ always starts slow. Lets not overreact.
Clean @ 10/19/2022 10:44 PM
I always post the positives with these 2 so I will also post the negatives. They really need to step up. This is not acceptable from 3rd year players.

Cam definitely a game to build on. Man, did he need this. When he squares up and steps into his 3, it looks pretty good. He is deceptively fast with those long strides. If he can just keep it simple and stay in control he’ll be a lot more efficient. Couple of bad turnovers but overall a hell ya’ for Cam

BMart @ 10/19/2022 10:45 PM
Anyone can have a bad shooting night from beyond the arc, but RJ missed layups consistently for 4 quarters. Maybe they were all in traffic but still, in year 4 those need to fall
Alpha1971 @ 10/19/2022 10:47 PM
Trade everything for the next Jaden Ivey
Clean @ 10/19/2022 10:47 PM
OK, now that I am no longer have PTSD about having to witness another fake comeback I will say to be so close to winning that game after how badly we played shows we have more potential than people think. Will we reach that potential? that is a question for another day.
martin @ 10/19/2022 10:48 PM
Omg it was a goaltend and foul.

BMart @ 10/19/2022 10:50 PM
I think this team can be good, if Thibs can find the guys each night to bring energy and he is willing to play different combinations, there is a lot of depth to utilize

My definition of a fake comeback is one where they get close, but the other team goes on a run to end the game. This one went to the last few seconds. They stayed mentally tough, fought to the end.

Have Hart play some PF. Take Obi out the rotation

Bad judgement. But I believe in RJ.
