The exciting part is we have shown improvement this year while playing our youth meaningful minutes. It's not like we are getting J Kid's swan song season over here. This progress should be sustainable as our young players develop further

Knicks have been playing better basketball over the past month then they did anytime last season. Even in 2021, a lot of the wins seemed lucky with Randle having to hit some incredible shots for the win.
Chicago got a big win tonight vs. Atlanta. The Knicks will be facing Chicago 3 times over the next 6 games. If the Knicks want to have a chance at avoiding the play in, those 3 Chicago games are must wins. I think the Bucks and Celtics will end up as top seeds. If healthy 76ers Nets and Cavs all have the talent to finish 3-4-5. It's that 6 spot that the playin teams are really fighting for. No one wants Milwaukee or Boston in the first round.
Atlanta New York Toronto Chicago Indiana Miami and Washington are all fighting for those spots. 7 teams, 5 spots- and not even much of a consolation prize as your lottery odds drop off after the 6 pick. Those 5,6 picks are much more likely to move back than forward. The 3 game series vs Chicago is a great opportunity to rise in the standings and potentially knock a rival out.
