Yep
Was too easy to knock them off their stride. A division rival doing it makes it worse. Have to be ready to play 4 strong quarters. We clearly werent.
Basically this is the third time Thibs has been the coach and the team completely collapsed.

It’s early but Thibs might be fired very soon…
Nash?
Question, I missed the second half so I saw the 1st half and left at half time. I look on my phone the score flipped! Plus how on the hell did Randle get held to 2 PTS in the 2 half?

I was liking his moves in the preseason but it seems like they stopped in the preseason. Its back to the same things we did last year once the games counted. What also has me now being fine with him not being here is during the game vs the Grizz Ja was miced up and he was telling his team the scouting report on RJ . Then after that seeing us totally play players who can't shoot like they could shoot. I keep bringing this up but Dennis Smith is a poor shooter and Paolo shot BELOW 25% from 3 by the time we played him but we kept going over screens playing them close and biting on pump fakes.
In the pre season the Pacers rookie pump faked every single time he had a defender running at him and we fell for 95% of them. These are details that we can't afford to overlook because we don't have to talent to afford us that luxury. Games when RJ was shooting like 1-13 and he finished the game. Games where Randle was not playing good and he finished the game. Before it was because Obi can't shoot but he is now shooting 50% from 3 but nothing changes. RJ and Randle are too inefficient and their styles don't mix to play together but Thibs will keep doing it until he is fired because he never tries anything different. We all heard me talk about Thibs defense giving up wide open 3's all game so I am not going to get into that again. I am ready to move on.
Unfortunately we arent getting enough scoring from our bigs, outside of Randle. Dont see that changing soon. Would like to see Grimes/McBride subbed in when the backcourt isnt making enough stops. Maybe we wont have these wild swings in the score, as often. Also sends a message that if you arent defending, you arent playing.

JB
RJ
Randle
Fournier
4 starters who are offensively wired
What happens when offensive players can’t score, their defense drops. That’s why we need more Grimes type players that can impact the game even when shots or offense isn’t working.
Doesn’t take a HOF coach to realize you can only go so far with only 1 elite defender (Mitch) and FOUR inconsistent and high volume streaky scorers.

Ime would have been the big name coach to consider (scandal and all) but like always the Nets grab something the Knicks could use just to spoil it. All things equal if it happens I think it would be for Bryant.
Honestly this team sucks!
Call the lakers get the picks send them rose, Fournier, Reddish hartensien for two number ones tank the season and let’s go
The fact that they had 2 days to practice, rectify or address issues from the last two games, and then they play like this?!?! Thibs has to take a lot of the blame...
You need that one guy who can put the team on his back…..we ain’t got that guy.
Thibs is a creature of habit, he has a formula for winning games if that is not working like tonight it will always end up in a loss. There is very limited wiggle room for thibs. I hope the FO can sniff around maybe Kenny Atkinson will be willing to take over. I want to see how johnny bryant can stir this team as well.
When thibs' formula works it can blow teams away but if its not working fans will see a sucky game on display.
Can't even count on Randle to increase his trade value
At least RJ shot close to average tonight and Quick looked fairly dynamic. I knew Murray and Trae would kill us. Didn't see their frontcourt being more physical than ours. Mitch and then damn fouls
Anyone catch the Cavs/Celtics? If we're firing anyone, it should be the FO for not getting a deal down for Mitchell.
Seriously - disappointed. I had a feeling Atlanta was going to perk up and beat us. I should bet against them as they will probably lose their next 1-3 games.
Maybe it is time for a change of voice in the coach.

You realize that too? Last time they started losing after beating us. I think we just need a lineup change and / or trade Fournier. Play that shooter from preseason.
Atleast we’re not getting beat by random scrubs anymore. That’s progress right?!?

and we're even worse at defending the 3. Too many open looks

At least we not the Lakers. 26% ????
And the bar lowers even more 😔
Gus this is exactly what should happen based on the data. So nobody should be surprised when we at the bottom of shooting and defending the 3. Can’t control the 3s we make. But we can control the 3s we give up.
WORST GAME EVER. I think I puked. Twice.
