Knicks · Fire Thibs (page 23)
Excellent job Thibs.
Fire who? Please this guy has a team built around his defensive culture, eventhough we are ranked very high on offense.

SMH 🤦♂️
Your really stretching this out because your bored. I get it. Im also itching to see some basketball. Gotta wait until Friday unfortunately.
But please Name one poster who said thibs plays randle and jalen too many minutes in the 2022/2023 season.
If your going to bring up an old discussion (not sure why or what’s your motivation), why not be accurate? This started with the decline of Thumbs down Randle and RJ who was both in the top whatever in mins played. During that time, Randle was trash (according to 75% of knick fans on this forum) and every thread was calling for his head. RJ was inconsistent of course and declining defensively. All the guys you mentioned are stars and superstars. Randle and RJ wasn’t even all stars. So that’s a bad comparison.
And just because Lebron or Tatum type players can perform well with high minutes doesn’t mean anybody can or should. Some players can perform well in clutch (4th quarter for example) with high mind and those guys are superstars. Others only play solid for 3 quarters. Randle for example is a superstar in the 1st quarter with fresh legs. But come 4th quarter, his performance declines.
But hey, let’s forget we have closure Brunson and we are 6th seed going for 5th seed. Let’s forget thibs and the Knicks are playing the best basketball in most peoples lifetime. Let’s forget hart is undefeated and playing out of his mind. Did I mention how Brunson is putting up superstar numbers and he’s not an all star? Or Brunson is one of the top clutch performers in the nba.
So many great things to congratulate thibs on. What’s the motivation of spending worthless negative energy on something that’s been dead for a long time now. When we now have something so alive. 🤦 I guess some really get off on argumentive topics that nobody is arguing about anymore 🤣.
I still say he plays RJ too many mins, but what does that really mean right now? Thibs to this point has proven to be a solid veteran coach who has a team of young players playing hard on both ends for him (including inconsistent RJ). So many positives to talk about. Where’s those discussions? Come on bro, it’s over. Drink some tea and watch these Knicks led by thibs, hawk down the nets for the 5th seed.
Playing your best player major mins is what got us here and that’s what all coaches do, regardless what fans want or expect. Having Brunson and hart pickup the slack in the 4th is great chemistry. Randle gets us going. Hart maintains that momentum off the bench and Brunson is the closer. Brunson fills that need in crunch time, Randle gets us going in the 1st quarter. It’s beautiful to watch and we are blessed to witness this.
The present is just as beautiful as the future. Much more better than thumbs down Randle led team last year. That Randle doesn’t exist anymore. Last year thibs is not this years thibs. Last years FO is not this years FO. Last years fans are not this years fans. It’s a different team and a different vibe with Brunson the closer on board. Even disagreements between fans are different.
Shout outs to thibs and the FO. Can’t wait to see what the future holds over the next 22 games.

They are peppered everywhere. I myself started a poll asking about minutes.
Since we digging up a 3 yr old discussion...
Do we need another minutes thread? It’s something that carried over from his coaching time with the timberwolves. Are we that board? And do we need multiple threads on the same topic? Thibs played certain guys lots of mins because he like to have a 8 or 9 man rotation. This whole thing about just because Dame and Luka play heavy mins, RJ should as well? It was a bad argument then now and in the future. Thibs will be thibs. And clearly his tight rotation changed the course for this team. So forget what other teams are doing, thibs is doing it his way and the players are responding in a positive way. So what’s the point of bringing this up from the dead again? 🤦♂️

It's called calling out guys who were wrong and just want to sweep there past comments under the rug without manning up and admitting they were wrong.
Some hate being reminded of that.
There are several on here that do that. And use plenty of "negative energy" while doing so.
Agree that we have a lot of positives but a fan board is where we talk about anything. Most of it being fans negative takes and wrong opinions. Problem is that some posters talk out of their you know what's, are too defensive and sensitive and don't man up when they are wrong and get called out.
Believe Thibs giving too many minutes is a good convo. As is any one discussing the opinion of your teams coach. Feel it's fair but the only ones wanting a coach removed because of minutes are HS mom's angry their kid is not getting run, former players who rode the bench and fans who think their hopefuls are better than they really are. Does give too many minutes at times? Sometimes but as many have pointed out, calling for his firing because of it is ridiculous. Especially as the reason for losing. Imo, it's rarely about the coach and more about the players when a team does well or not. With the only exception being when a coach loses his team. Thibs is the coach I wanted and he is doing a great job and has brought a great culture and hard nose mentality to the team. Reason why I wanted him.
RJ plays too much and other yoot too little. I guess the thought is RJ has gotten so many minutes that he must be at his ceiling?
Give the other 22 year olds more.
While RJ’s performance this year is perplexing it is kind of silly for any of us to pretend we know what is “wrong”.
NYKM got his mission to promote the positive and prove the “hater” wrong.
Does anything think Thibs does not look at what happened to DRose then and the last 10 years and not think about it? Think he might have conferred with trainers, physiologists, orthopedics, etc to learn about the injury and the science of “load management”.
Thibs was blamed for Joakims “burn out” but it was his lack of taking care of his body that contributed to it.
The issue (and fuck you Kyrie) of “Load management” is a player wants the big money and wants rest to protect his career. Some players need it, some don’t.
Lets be real, some of you are quick to judge when it suits an agenda. NYMentality is over stepping here and BLKexec has got to have the last word on most convos.
Its who we are.
The games played sort it all out. Enjoy them.

I'll just add that being right when everyone else is.wrong is it's own sweet reward.
Knick lose cause somebody missed some shots it was obviously because they played/practiced too much or Thibs phucked up the play and he's gotta go. Cmon... we (Knicks fans) are reasonable people

So many great things to congratulate thibs on.
What's the motivation of spending worthless negative energy on something thats been dead for a long time now
Let's be real.
You're only shaking your head because I come into this thread with positive energy in support of (with appreciation) for Coach Thibs.
Because you for dang sure weren't "shaking your head" @ all of the negative "Fire Thibs" energy (once this thread was created) 🤷♂️
23 pages of examples. Can you find me multiple quotes of yourself while supporting Thibs throughout this thread and/or of you going after the Coach killers while calling them out for their negative Fire Thibs energy?
Or do you only do this (immediately) after a known Thibs believer kicks down the doors that were opened up only 1 month ago?
I came into this thread to show off how Thibs is playing/utilizing his dynamic duo @ PG/PF in comparison to how other coaches are playing their two best players (big minutes) sorry, didn't know it would bother you that much...

Let me help you sir since you love to keep the “fire thibs” thread alive. I don’t give ANY COACH as much credit as most. I’ve said it when Phil Jackson was here. I’ve said it when any coach was here. So please stop making this a “hate thibs” topic. I know you love the guy and think he’s all world and that’s great. But you’re wasting time trying to change something that I’ve said years ago about any coach.
Hate to bust your bubble about your bff. But it’s a waste of time. And for you to continue this while Knicks are top 10 team in the league is hilarious. U bored? 🤣 Games on tomorrow. You can wait one more day. You can do it. I believe in you. 🤣.
Thibs is coaching his but off and players are playing for him which is all great news. What youre doing is just trying to grab attention and use me as a platform which is fine. Whatever makes you happy.
I’ve been saying this 10 years before you joined. You stuck on thibs and I’m not. I’m stuck on the Knicks. And happy we are winning. Period. But I don’t mind the verbal dance since that’s all this is. One more day, u can do it.
But I don’t mind discussing the minutes thing again. I don’t think every player can handle heavy minutes. And the players you are using as an example are stars and superstars. And to me Randle and RJ are not stars or superstars. Brunson is definitely heading in that direction and the minutes he’s getting doesn’t impact his clutch performance in the 4th quarter like it does for Randle. RJ is RJ. He’s inconsistent regardless of his minutes right now. Brunson is super solid.
But that’s my take on your post.

Hold on now....not only did I NOT make the post that bumped this thread. Nor did I directly respond to the post that bumped this thread (that was you). NOR did I even make this thread about minutes, even though you and I went back and forth on this for a while, and in all honesty this is a topic that- self-admittedly- triggers me. I directly responded to your line saying to name one poster who made it an issue. I named multiple. Don't look at me on this one. If you don't want people to respond don't make open challenges.
I don’t care if posters respond to me. It’s an open forum. All I’m saying it’s a stupid discussion right now. Too many positives. Too much winning. To try and dig up past discussions when nobody has talked about that since January (which you pointed out in your response).
But just like a street fight. If you don’t want the smoke stay out the kitchen 😆. Otherwise u and me are putting ourselves out there for anybody to respond. And I can’t get mad at that. And I don’t think you can either. Nothing personal just knick fans killing time until the 2nd half starts.
Have you both admitted that saying Thibs over uses Knick starters was overblown?
Hofstra police is back at it again!
Let it go brother
This horse been dead
I said what I said and refuse to repeat because the Hofstra police is here. Give me my ticket and move on officer.
Didn't u just try to police NYKMentality like 3 just posts ago in this very thread? Calling Thibs his "BFF", telling everyone they shouldn't post about minutes in this thread or becuse it hasn't been discussed since January, calling him "bored" and to wait it out until the games start again.....why the hypocrisy?

You absolutely do care when guys respond to you and call you out for previous views. You also should stand by above regarding smoke.
Seems smoke is too much for you? Asked simple question above. Simple response seems normal, got some weak Karen stuff calling posters the police because they chime in. That's weak. But you have done that before. Reason why i asked have you manned up. Also not a big deal. Btw, You do know this is a fan forum right? Or do you think its a wall where you just spray paint stuff and run away.
You were on here often regarding how Thibs needs to play the starters less and the fifteenth man more.
You have repeatedly questioned his coaching and whether we should change coaches.
Ignoring all other teams minute stats. Fair enough. Fair game. But you are getting mad because some are making you man up regarding a misconception?
When I played ball, first rule was accountability. Second was always welcome a tough competitive battle with your opponent. Guess you did not have the same environment .
