You consider combative banter attacking? That seems unlike anyone that competed in sports. I try to always state facts and stats with most of my opinions. Rarely just attack someone.

When I am in NY I play in Brooklyn. Ball city has some good leagues but mostly guys who think they have something to prove. Do you? I already did so therefore do not need to. Is that why you don't like me? Because I played some ball? Btw, not a big accomplishment. I am sure many on here played college ball.

Problem with your takes is that one, you are too defensive and can't take anyone disagreeing with you. Two, you state your opinion with a chip on your shoulder. Three, you are too defensive. Fourth, you are too defensive. We are all Knick fans. I look at convos on here as like the ones I have with someone at the sports bar. Although not always in agreement, we do not take things too seriously.

I’m seeing the same issues I’ve seen with thibs since he arrived. And the only answers I keep hearing is thibs needs better players. We need an all star. But last night was the perfect opportunity to see what our backup or bench can do. And Thibs decides to play deuce 46 mins? The game before he played deuce less than 10 mins (side bar opportunity on deuce mins played 🤣 I know it’s coming).

Now I hear cam has checked out. And I’m kinda surprised EF hasn’t checked out yet. I heard a fan say this about seeing cam live verses the other players during shoot around. My point is when you remove a player, this has to be done very carefully or the player should be in aggreement. If that’s the case then so be it. If not, just more strange unanswered issues surrounding thibs.

So when you remove a player, what happens when you have injuries and u need them to play like last game. They are completely checked out. Besides the cam is waiting to be traded conspiracy. What’s your take on a coach removing a player completely from the roster vs keeping them on the roster and reduce their mins. What’s your take on that and Thibs in general, as far as rotations, lack of adjustments like against the Dallas game and overall his rigidity and lack of offensive execution. Toronto player called on thibs defense. Then recently Jamal Crawford questions thibs defense on Luca.

That’s what I would like to hear from you, not a stat or English correction response. I have no clue on your stance with anything. And I’ve been on this site for over 20yrs

Why would a coach do that. Especially if they needed that player to get back to All Star form. You wanted ONE if them fired/traded. He did the right thing and you were wrong.
You claimed the youngins like Deuce should play more than Vets. Seemed like Thibs used a competitive decision process. Play guys that deserve it. Despite fans prematurely thinking he should. He did the right thing.
Deuce is back on the bench. Any said defense is not enough. We were right

He did not bench him because he’s the best player and that’s a reckless move. I said hold him accountable. When he does his spin turnovers, and shoots 1 for 12 from 3, sit him. He’s doing that with RJ now. And Thibs manages Randle different which is fine. You manage your players to get the best out of them. And so far thibs is doing that now.

Thibs is playing the yoots sir. Not sure what your talking about. Everything I wanted thibs to do, he did it. So I’m happy.

Deuce was given the opportunity to shine and he showed flashes. Clearly not ready for prime time playoff time and hart was the right move. All I said was play the yoots and stop the guessing. We see what we have and now make decisions in the off season.

So thibs checked all my boxes.

Next is in game adjustments. But when you have a solid team and add a solid glue guy, they can help cover up any small issues with the coach or team. Hart is a life saver and he personally change the second unit.

And let’s be clear. I said the yoots (IQ, Grimes and Deuce) should play more than Kemba, EF and Burks. All 3 are not playing and the yoots are. Check.

Throw sims in there. He even started over Hart. Never saw that coming but thibs did it and it worked. Now fans get to see how their young players look against nba players (not gleague players).

My disagreement came and will always be consistent when fans assume coaches can't make the decisions of when a player is ready to be benched or a youngin is ready to take minutes.

Your take on how Thibs should have benched Randle or RJ does not take into account the dynamic between a coach and his better players. Thibs and most should know who the best players on the team are. You do not bench your best players, rather you stick with them because you know that a slump is par for the course. A coach that benches his best players because they are slumping only ruins that relationship, breaks the trust and shows that player he has no confidence in him.
A move that is very short sighted.
If you are saying trim his minutes a bit than sure. That can be done. But that also relays some of the things mentioned above.

The whole Thibs thing to me is very easy. Fans think a coach should have done this and done that. They second guess and armchair all day after a loss. Without looking at the whole, what the alternatives are and what a practical solution is. I am opposed to knee jerk opinions blaming one aspect of a game. Was in a locker room and know it's more complex than that. I respond to those placing quick blame. That won't change.

I see the issue here. In my world there’s no right or wrong in an open forum. Nobody works for the organization. And everybody brings their opinions.

Also if you have dry comedy (I do as well), it never comes across well in a chat. Also I’m not petty and don’t care about copying and pasting someone’s post. That’s called extreme petty so that clearly separates us from having any real or serious convo. I stay away from petty people.

I try to keep the convos like in real life. And face to face their no copy and paste. I see you love this platform because it allows you to be this person you are now. For me I try to be real and far from petty. I can copy and paste your convos all day. And you know what, 20 yrs ago I would’ve.

Funny part about this topic and many others is that some try to make it like it's not just another over reactive fan arm chair BS. From guys that think they know more than a pro bball coach or a pro FO. Guess its something some have to do after a loss in order to blame someone. Coach is the first target. Thing is I am okay with that. That is what forums are for. Vent some frustrating, talk about what could have been done differently. Also a place to call for someone to be fired, benched or traded. Problem I have is with guys that claim it's just their opinion but have problems when you tell them there opinion is wrong. Then complain when you remind them of that.
Which I think fan forums are also for. Talk ball, opinions and some shit basically. Imo, everyone has an opinion and should state it, back it up and stand by it. Admit if they were wrong. Some on here do some fancy dancing around to avoid doing so. Some have thin skins. Some are just trolling.(Also okay with)

You either do not understand or seem to have a problem with how open fan forum message boards work. All anyone has to go on in these communities is what is posted and posting histories. If anyone is a flip flopper, especially one who has strong opinions and does not like other posters challenging those opinions they tend to get called to the mat....especially if the flip flopping is fairly recent.

I actually admire Mentality for having a thick skin. He often takes a beating on this board for some overly optimistic takes - like in the 60 win thread. He has also been stalked by Phil about apparently some NYJ takes on some other board.....yet he keeps at is without complaining.

I was right about thibs on the hire.

I was wrong about thibs not adjusting, his rotation was sloppy and he doesn’t play the yoots. Also he doesn’t develop players. At least I’ll say in the long run I was wrong. But in the moment it’s still up for debate.

For example I wanted to start IQ when thibs started Burks. Was a wrong for that? I don’t know and you don’t know. Some say he wasn’t ready. But in reality nobody knows how starting IQ would’ve impacted how he’s playing now. So can’t say I was wrong there.

I wanted deuce to play more then and Thibs played him later. Was i wrong there? I don’t think so.

Now onto your statement about being wrong on coaching in comparison to thibs? Mmmmm when did I say I’m a better coach than thibs? I said I’m a damn good gm with building championship teams and being a players coach at the city league level. I’ve also questioned thibs in game coaching which I’m calling in game adjustments. To thibs credit he’s improved on that front. But to say I’m a better coach than thibs is an over exaggeration. Did I question thibs? Of course. I’ve challenged professors in college. Am I a better professor or teacher than my college professor? hell no. I’ve questioned how police treat people in low poverty communities. Am I a better policeman? Hell no. But I could be but not inspired to be. So just because I question someone’s moves or strategies doesn’t mean I’m better than. Just means I’m not the type to go with the flow or go with the majority. Like u. You said 60 wins. That’s going against the grain. And that doesn’t make you wrong. It’s a prediction it’s a goal. You are a fan that expects the team or win a lot of games. It’s not a wrong or right thing.

Questioning thibs as a man? Doesn’t make since to me and don’t know what you are talking about. He’s definitely not a woman and I don’t remember saying he’s not a man.

So my take is different. I rather have the freedom to speak and be open and honest in the moment. So I appreciate that with chats. But chats is also where people including myself, will ramble and say something that’s a strong opinion but not aligned to my core values. I will need an example to go any further into that. But for example, maybe I don’t like thibs red shirt that day. A month later I post a picture wearing a red shirt. Am I flip flopping? If that’s what you call it fine. I call it being a human and not a robot. Humans change. And when it’s not aligned to a core value I probably will change. Who knows. But that’s my right. Again just need an example. I’m not going to remember ever ramble which that’s all this is. I ramble in person and ramble in chat. Quickly hit send so that I don’t lose the rambling reply because the site says (please sign in). And I have to start over. So there will be typos and mistakes I type. Give an example and I will respond to that one or two examples.

My only complaint is this copy and pasting stuff is silly if the topic isn’t aligned to anything I feel is important. If it’s important to someone else and they want me to address it I will. And I will clarifying my stance. Because when something is more important to someone else, they will read my words a hell of a lot closer than what I typed. So I have to go backwards and restate what I meant because I say a lot of unfiltered stuff and that’s a no no in an open chat. Face to face it’s nipped in the but eight there. In chat it lives on for ever until someone digs up a grave of memories and challenges every sentence (lmao). That’s all I’m saying. I will not remember every details only that sentence but I will give you my stance on that specific example if you ask me. what I said at that time. That’s what I mean by chat va face to face. Especially pulling out something small in a discussion about a bigger topic. Need an example to explain further.
