As I said in the game thread, I wouldnt mind seeing a Brunson/Fultz backcourt. Offer Quickley, if starting isnt in Thibs or the FO's plans. He'll start somewhere eventually.

He doesn’t have value to get back a first round pick. At this point the Knicks may need to deal him for a different player who can replace him in the rotation. Someone who needs a change a scenery like Toppin.

Would Amare's game have gone anywhere. If he spent most of his time in the corner, waiting for a 3? Doubt it.

Its the same with Grimes, Obi's handle isnt good enough to consistently dribble through traffic, and score from there. They work best from the top of the key, and out. Obi needs a runway.

Only reason I wouldnt be upset at getting some value for Obi. Doesnt look like he's going to be put in the best position to succeed in NY.

This

I’m not the biggest Obi fan but I do agree that if Thibs would allow him to play the way Randle does, he would be a much more efficient and valuable player to the Knicks

Same with Fournier. I know fans don’t like him but he brings a skill set that few in the league have and, although the contract is a little “rich”, I’m not just not going to give him away for the sake of it.

Am i the only one thinking that we should be talking to the Nets about a trade

Mikal Bridges would be option 1 but it seems like they have a couple of options we could target at SF for smaller or larger moves

Im glad if Thibs revisits how he uses Obi in the offense. More of an effort to get him going early in the substitution.

I liked the Knicks Universe better when Berman was in exile. His word choice can be a bit dick-ish at times -- very negative.

"clickbait" reading

Instead of him playing about 11 minutes or trying to find Obi minutes at the 5 (too small and not defensively strong enough) they should find him spot minutes at the 3.

Obi at the 3 allows Mitch to still rim protect and Randle to do his iso-thing much of the time. Obi at the 3 could mean less standing in the corner as he is good at cutting and hitting the occasional 3. I see him offensively as a Shawn Marion-type that can do it a little bit of everything (but nothing exceptional).

Currently it can't be much worse defensively vs RJ so why not try this? Randle rebounds and Obi leaks out could be using both to their strengths IMO.

totally agree. Obi is a finesse player and fits well there on offense. On defense it doesnt really matter who he guards, he needs to do better so maybe try smalls.

Then you would most def 100% love this diss-song by a Knicks fan named Poppa Left.

I think it's safe to say... Poppa Left doesn't like no Marc Berman 😂😭🤣
